This series is an addiction! Can’t wait for more

Iv listened through the series multiple times and can’t get enough! Kel Kade is a fantastic writer and Nick Podehl brings it to life. From the first book to the seventh, this makes up my favorite series. From the inner thoughts of the characters to the action scenes and mysteries to unravel. The only thing I don’t like is waiting for the next book. Book seven is no different as things get more chaotic with rising demonic presence. Our main character Reskin continues to become stronger and better equipped to fight off the demon horde. 10/10, 5 stars, all the thumbs up for the badassery that is The Kings Dark Tidings book 7!

I Enjoyed this book emmensly, It is my favorite of the series so far! I look forward to the next book.

loosing me

don't know much longer I'll stick with this. parts were okay. felt rushed in parts, not much happened and what seems uncharacteristically stupid choices by characters. not to mention the over the top love interactions with MC. how could they not put together what was going to happen. why they still chose to hide things from each other. cmon book 6

Book ended too soon. No real progress was made in the problem. Seemed like it was divided up just to sell another book. Lots of world building explanations and not enough character stories. I would have preferred more plot advancement in this book after listening to so much back lore.

Advanced plot greatly, big character development.

It seems this one is going to divide a lot of people. Those who liked the slightly more 'realistic' less high fantasy world of books one and two (even though I personally felt a lot of hints and lore was dropped in them) have probably already dropped the series. Honestly I was one of those people that initially struggled with the shift in perception of the world.

Honestly this book fixed a lot of my complaints. Rezkin makes huge strides in terms of character development. So do many other characters. Wesson is starting to rival Rez for being a MC and I'm on board for it. We also finally get to see huge plot development (and massive cliffhanger) for the main plot line which is fantastic.

Someone mention they felt some peoples voices changed in narration. I paid particular attention to Tam and his voice felt no different to me at all, maybe a little more grown up but it's still very much Tam's voice that was used in the other books.

I think many people who love the cold ruthless emotionally mute/stunted version of Rezkin from the first few books and just want to follow an OP MC might be frustrated by the direction of the series. We explore a lot about Rezkin's emotions and there are lore and in world reasons for everything from the very beginning. Some people would prefer Rezkin stayed that same person, but I'm not one of them.

If you don't mind the dragons, fae, elves, dwarves stuff - then that's here in this book in absolute spades. I'm looking forward to Book 8 very much. My only real complaint with this one was that some of the parts of the plot are kind of rushed through a little bit, I felt it could have been a bit longer.

I have been following this series for a decade now and have enjoyed every bit of the bumpy ride.

But that ending…I can’t wait for the next one. It was a great listen!

This book continues to tie up loose ends while opening up new and fascinating story lines!

I didnt know what to expect in the newest book. It has been exciting to see Rezkins evolution into his true self. kel kade found a way to add new races, and delve into the demon history in a way that grabs your attention, and keeps you wondering what is next. I hate knowing I have to wait so long to see the consequences of the decisions made in this installment! I love this series and I need more!!!
