Acerca de esta escucha

Walt Longmire is back after the escapades of First Frost and encounters one of his most baffling cases in Wyoming’s brutal and unforgiving Red Desert.

When Blair McGowan, the mail person with the longest postal route in the country of over three hundred mile a day, goes missing the question becomes—where do you look for her? The Postal Inspector for the State of Wyoming elicits Sheriff Longmire to mount an investigation into her disappearance and Walt does everything but mail it in; posing as a letter-carrier himself, the good sheriff follows her trail and finds himself enveloped in the intrigue of an otherworldly cult.

Packed to the brim with twists and turns, the 21st novel in the New York Times bestselling Longmire series pushes Walt to his absolute limits, forcing him to wrestle with the impossible question: What good are your morals, if you’re marked for the dead letter office?

This was a great line spoken numerous times in the newest Longmire story- as always, an adventurous tale, with a great main character, this time set in the deserts of Wyoming.

We all love Walt. This is obvious, as we have loved our way through, and stuck by him for the previous 20 stories. And by book 21, we know him pretty well - how he's going to act, and react. There aren't too many surprises left. Not that we need surprises, but we do need what The Bear, Vic, Katie and Lucian bring to the plot and character development. I miss this when they are absent. So, I very much hope his next tale includes them full time. No kidding.

"You've got to be kidding!"

Craig Johnson never fails, He always delievers with honesty and humor. After all this time, all his books, all his Christmas short story presents, and the most delightful personal presentations, he's the rock.

Thank you, and may I hope, given your epilogue, welcome to Iowa. Remember the pioneer wives of Wyoming and their persistent care of their roses, my friend.

Loved that Craig put Robert Taylor in the story! As usual, puts pieces together perfectly!

I always get excited for another Longmire book. Like others have said, I liked that dog was featured prominently. I'm also glad that Walt came through it not requiring a hospital stay. Some readers don't feel that Vic and Henry are featured enough in this story, but I like this lone adventure of Walt's. I just really enjoy how much encyclopedic knowledge Craig Johnson has and by extension, his main characters. I always feel like I've traveled somewhere and learn something when I listen to Mr. Johnson's books.

Craig Johnson has outdone himself with this latest installment in the Walt Longmire series. It’s full of all the action and intrigue as we’ve come to expect.
George Guidall as always gave an outstanding performance.
I highly recommend this book to mystery fans and look forward to the next in this great series.

Exhilarating

This story was amusing and some what interesting, but nothing like the original books that started the series. Narrator as usual does a Great job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.

Amusing

I began as a fan of the Longmire TV show. Once I found the books, I was hooked. Craig Johnson found a kindred spirit in George Guidell. Wonderful novel.

Love George Guidell as a narrator

This Longmire had a little bit of a goofy storyline - not as solid as most of the others - but overall, it was a reasonable addition to the series. As always, GG did a great narration.

Always good
