Intense, novel story, excellent reader

Liked the unique story line with factual information about polar bears. Guidel reader was superb.

Despite being short, this is a worthy novella and an excellent story.

I always wish Longmire audio books were longer. The narrator is excellent and the writing is outstanding for this series taken as a whole. This book is novella length and is shorter than I would have hoped, but it made an excellent rainy morning listen. It also brought up history to research like so many Longmire books do for me. I didn’t quite find the supernatural component of this story to be near enough to The Highway Man to deserve the comparison in the description. Having said that, there are supernatural components to this story. I always enjoy those in Longmire books. I would recommend this book to any Longmire fan. If you pick up this book as your first in the series, enjoy this one for the novella that it is and then dive deep into the whole series.

Baby it's cold outside

Walt and Henry are off on another adventure. Things are not always what they seem. A good quick list to hold us until the next full Leo novel.

I love how the polar comes to life through words.

I can't say there was anything in particular that I didn't care for I love George G.

Excellent Quickie

Not my favorite, but it was very enjoyable and I could listen to George Guidall all day long.

Fun extra story

Always great to visit with Walt. A fun story about the way long ago past.

Short but pretty good

I always wish the Longmire books were longer - this one was half-sized, but still good. As always, the GG narration was perfect.

Another winner

Craig Johnson has created another excellent addition to his Walt Longmire series. It’s full of all the characters we’ve grown to know and love as well as an intriguing mystery.
George Guidall as always gave a stellar performance as he breathed life into the storyline and gave each character their own distinct voice.
I highly recommend this book and series to mystery fans.
I look forward to the next installment.

A wild story, totally original, could not stop listening.

Their narrator for the Longmire series is truly the single best representation of a character I have ever heard and I listen to at least 50 or 60 books every year. Remarkable, indeed. My only criticism is that it seemed like Walt missed several opportunities to just shoot the damn antagonist!
