Publisher's Summary

My husband killed me.

Then he screwed his way through the city. The only problem? I didn’t stay dead. It seems killing me woke something deep inside, something so dark and buried so deep I never knew it was there.

I don’t know what I am, I don’t really care. All I can think about is revenge, even as the monsters in the dark start to surround me. Their horns and black eyes, mouths filled with fangs claiming I am theirs.

My monsters will have to wait. He will regret the day he crossed me.

Are you scared of the dark?

You should be.

18+ Reverse Harem Romance. Warning: This book contains scenes and references of abuse/assault that some listeners may find triggering. Along with graphic sex scenes and violence. This is a dark book.

This is the BEST!

I love this so much! Its more of a horror style about blood thirsty, monsters! When I first started reading this, I thought, oh god, another glorified, idiotic, weak FMC. Time to DNF, but very quickly things just switch up right where it needs to go. Very original monster, RH romance. One that has an interesting story that isn't sole based on chapter upon chapter of boring insta-love, but of course there's Romance and hot sexy time. Its just not the skip worthy kind. Its actually pretty HOT! The narrators are Boss too, I'm mean both are equally perfect for the characters. Especially Jason Clarke. Very sexy and perfect for these aggressive monsters. The only problem is I'm so into the story now, so I'm going to need more sooner rather than later Ms. Knight!

Incredible dark sexy romance

I loved everything about this twisted, dark, sexy romance. It is definitely not for the faint of heart, there is a lot of very graphic sex and blood shed. But if you like your romance extra dark and intense than this is for you! I especially liked the fact that K.A. Knight was able to keep each lover unique and memorable in their own way, I definitely had my favorites lol 😉 lol but each of them was likable and definitely bangable 🤣 narration was incredible of course! I could listen to Jason Clark narrate a phone book and still swoon over him lol he was at the top of his game with this one though, he did a great job of giving each mate their own unique accent. Celestine Wolf is another great narrator that always does a great job of relaying emotion in her performance, dhe doesn't just "read" the words! I definitely recommend this book, its always annoying when books are split into two purchases lol but in this case it was definitely worth it! I'll reread these many times I'm sure!

UGH soooo good!!

I put off reading this because of some of the reviews but I wish I didn't. It's dark, a bit twisted, and has blatant sex frequently so if that's not your thing, move along. But there is a real story line and character development in this book, the mystery, overarching theme and pace is perfection and Jason Clarke is like a treat for the ears. Worth a credit, 100%!

Sex, sex, and more sex...

Sex, sex, and more sex...that is about what makes up the first several chapters. There was not much of a storyline up to that point. Except of course the fact that the main character was going to eventually become involved with four (?) different males for, of course, more sex. I really wanted to like this book, and don't get me wrong, a steamy sex scene can be a good thing, but there has to be more to a 'story'. Not for me.

I loved this book!!

K.A Knight made a perfect series with this one. The monsters are so bad in such a sexy way. Plus a great story line.

If monsters could brag...

My gosh... I've never heard so many characters brag so much about how awesome they are in their inner monologues! And what's funnier: they're constantly finding themselves on the bad end of the situations. Whether it be they get caught, they get drugged, they get beat up, their genius plans go awry... it happens over and over. But that doesn't keep these characters from constantly reiterating to the reader how awesome they each are. I liked them all less and less as I continued on. I actually started the second book (I'm weird about finishing series) and got about half way through it when Dawn (main character) gets caught AGAIN! And everything about the situation screamed that she and her mates weren't really a match for their adversaries on any scale. I was actually laughing and gave up, despite my qualms about not finishing a series. By the time I tapped out, we were up to six mates for Dawn, all being narrated by Jason Clarke, which got to be a little much.

The only entertainment (that was intended to be so) was the Dragon's behavior (I forget his name) when he was confronted with the modern world. He has an argument with the navigation system on his phone, and he had an altercation with cops which was pretty comical.

NARRATION: Jason Clarke does a fine job. My only issue, as I said above, is that he was reading for more and more characters as the story progressed, which started to get convoluted. Celestine Wolf constantly sounded like she was sighing out her sentences which got a bit annoying over time, but she wasn't the worst narrator I've ever heard.

Disappointed

It has a good idea for a plot but it just seems to be written in an middle school level light novel. The relationship is rushed. I love multiple P.O.V’s but it doesn’t feel like I actually get a unique personality from them just some repeated characteristics

A beautiful monster

I couldn't put this book down, it was an emotional rollercoaster, and had a twisted sense of humour that appealed to me! The plot, characters and narration were all fantastice, and I desperately want book 2!

***More Amazing now than when I was reading it***

This is a dark reverse harem with some triggers that made me.cringed a bit but all in all its an amazing book. It's a refreshing take of paranormal RH with a kick ass and powerful heroine (she became like that after she was murdered) She is one of my top favourite FMC who doesn't apologised for why she is and go for what she wants. An exciting and thrilling book with a brilliant narratives from Jason Clarke and Celestine wolf, thanks guys for the amazing performance. *****

This was a great audiobook!

I read the book before I listened to this as an audiobook. Listening to it was just as good as reading it in my opinion. It might just be because it has been a while since I read it on my kindle, but the audiobook version felt more euphemistic due to the narration. The story is still dark and I loved reading this just as much as I loved listening to it, but I feel like the book sounded darker in my mind than it does while listening. That might just be me though. I would definitely recommend this as either an audiobook or just reading it, both were different but just as amazing. The narration was amazing with Jason Clarke and Celestine Wolf who I have enjoyed listening to in other books as well. I hope you decide to listen or read this book. Enjoy!
