Glad I started with book 3

I love this series but I am glad my addiction started with book 3. Most of the characters seemed a wee bit less mature than I felt they should have. If the author was trying to capture pre-teenage immaturety then she did it well in this book. It makes me wonder if our beloved characters are actually younger than the story tells us though. I'm interested to see how all the characters will develop throughout the series. The story does develop well though & is worth the listen! The narrators voice & character separation adds great depth to the story. I look forward to starting book 2 soon.

I enjoyed book two much more than the first book in the series. I’m hoping that the rest of the series moves along as well and the story continues to develop. If I had known that Raella could stand alone, I wouldn’t have wasted my time with the first book in the series and would have just started here

Great story!

This is a great series! There's a LOT of edge-of-your-chair adventure in this book that makes it hard to put down. I LOVE the fact that there is very little romance in the first two books, unlike most books of this genre. I feel that the romance takes away from the story, so the fact that there is extremely little in this series makes the story even better. Lynette Noni is a great storyteller!

A wonderful surprise on a random purchase!

This was a series I was unsure about purchasing at first. I wasn't a huge Narnia fan, and thought it might be too childish, but I am so glad I decided to give it a shot! I would say this is like a more mature Narnia meets the Black Mage series. I love Alex, the main character, and how she handles both herself and her relationships with others. The supporting characters are so strong and vivid, with intensely strong personalities. The author does an incredible job at disclosing the characters inner reasons for being who they are without going on and on about it. I love the different worlds we've learned about and began to explore. Raelia is probably my favorite so far because I love the people/creatures that live their and their abilities. In most series I eventually get bored and zone out a bit, but this one seriously holds my attention. I've already bought book three and can't wait to find out what's going to happen. If you don't like cliffhangers, you'll just have to get over it and buy all the books to read in order since they are all out.
