Publisher's Summary

Lorimar Pack, Book 1. War is a constant threat on Dell Preston's horizon. As beta of the Lorimar pack, her job is to maintain the peace on the new border between Faerie and Earth at all costs. Even if that means playing nice with her ex, Isaac, the fae who savaged her wolf's soul, and Enzo Garza, the flirty witch who ought to be focused on building up their magical defenses instead of tearing down the walls around Dell's heart.

Butler, Tennessee, is a pinprick on the map with a diverse population of supernaturals. It's also chockful of humans who are unaware of the magical rift bruising the sky or the otherworldly insurgents raining down into their zip code.

A local fae's disappearance catches Dell's attention, but she dismisses it as an isolated event. Until it happens again. Unable to ignore the strange happenings in her town, she begins an investigation that uncovers so much more than a simple rash of kidnappings.

Now Dell finds herself at the sharp end of a pointed ultimatum. Find the missing and return them to their families or get ready for prime time. Botch this job, and forget coming soon. The war will become tomorrow's featured attraction instead.

performance

I loved the story but the change in actresses from the previous book was completely distracting. It wasn't until the last two chapters that I could finally hear and not try to mentally correct the main characters voice, mannerisms, dialect and drawl.

miss the alphas

I understand that this book is supposed to be about Dell, but I was disappointed at the lack of involvement with the alphas. I really think that they book would have been better with them all involved.

My truth

Ok Brittany’s acting skills are brilliant! Her ability to preform each character to the T is wonderful. She is able to separate each character as well male and female alike. I listened to a lot of her reads and will contribute too.

The writer’s ability to creat suck work is wonderful! I love her work! I look forward to listing to the rest of her story and to start new ones of her work as well. There is a perfect amount of all mixed in to her writing thrill drama romance etc.

The story. I love them son character by far and how much she has undergone and still is kicking strong. And let’s just say the mess she tried getting out of to save her pack only to have it threatened shortly after yicks. Little miss queen bd is a real... well... B! And the ex don’t get me started talk about typical stupid man! (Face palm)

oh so borning.....

There is endless soap opera dialogue between the characters.....going on and on and on about the same emtional issues. Lots of talk and no actual plot action. The actual story action could be summed up in about one page. The rest is boring repeats of emotional issues. author obviously has some issues with male domination and female inferior issues, as the lead female is constantly trying to prove how strong and manlike she is. yawn. yawn. Even her job is a traditional man job....cause females can be men. yawn.

Book 4

I really wanted to like this book because I’ve really enjoyed the first 3 but this one is just so boring. This is the kind of book that makes you not want to complete the series

Nape

Nape nape nape nape nape. Back of the neck. Scruff. Base of the skull. SOMETHING! OTHER! THAN! NAPE!

I truly love the story, writing, characters, etc. However… the over use of that word sets my teeth on edge every time I hear it no matter which narrator reads it. Pick a different word or phrase that means the same thing once in a while, yeah?

Lots of WTF

I'm stuck on the ending to this book. Bit of a cliff there, but lots of interesting dynamics, more Fae lore and lots of magic and claws and teeth.

Wanted to love it but Not going anywhere

I wanted to love this story because it’s a genre I love! The narrator did the best she could with what she had. It was lacking something exciting and I’m 8 minutes from the end of the book and nothing is happening. I kept waiting for a climax but there just isn’t one. Pretty lackluster.

Changes

Thee are changes in this book I don't like too much. First ots a different narrator so the characters feel they are different even though they are the same. The point t of view is Dell for this one, Cam and Cord aren't even there and there is talk of Bianca not having the baby yet so it overlaps with the previous book which is confusing for the time line. I just didn't love it, but I am now onto the next one - maybe it will be better ;)

I'm enjoying the series

but this one is not consistent with the last book and not just with the change of reader but within the book there are a number of inconsistencies especially relatjng to the Garzers.

Promise the Moon

This book follows the bars as she gets her best to keep the tea out of our world while her Alfa's are negotiating with the King and Queen of Sealy and Unsealy. Read brilliantly by Brittany Pressley.
