very solid story

This was a good story. It felt well developed if not a little formulaic.

Pleasantly surprised.

Before I start an audiobook, I always use the sample button to test and see how the narrator is going to tell the story.
I really enjoyed the dual narrators and the way they told this story. They made a great story even better.

The story itself was such a fun experience. I like how it’s based on Rapunzel, but it does pivot from that and you don’t feel like you’re just reading the same story that you’ve read 100 times. The characters forms were well rounded and interesting. This feels like one of those great fantasy “starter” books.

This book is the best I wish there was another book it is good as a stand alone but I wanna know more abt the characters and it could def be made into a series

a frustrating downgrade

After the first book in the series amazed me, I was so excited for Princess of Souls

The protagonists are wooden, and everyone else is cardboard. It's a bland, paint by numbers romantasy with bafflingly absent personality

By the end, I really couldn't understand what they saw in each other - and the plot felt like a slog that never immersed me

I'm still going to watch for new releases, because I enjoyed her other stories. This one just wasn't for me

10/10 voice performances, especially Selestra

This story was fine. Not as good as her To Kill A Kingdom story. There was no real energy between any of the characters. Blah.
