Publisher's Summary

Mainer Farms is steeped in family history, but it’s also deep in debt from the effects of the ever-changing farming industry. Not about to let his family’s legacy go under, Colt Mancinkus is willing to do anything he can to save the farm.

Darby Culhane is the new farmer in Whynot, North Carolina, and she’s proving to be quite the forbidden temptation for Colt. Darby isn’t looking for anything but a fresh start, and she’s got it all figured out. Get settled in? Check. Apply for the rural county grant? Check. Confrontation with the steaming-mad, smoking-hot local farmer? Well, that wasn’t on the agenda.

As pretty as she is sweet, Colt can’t help but be drawn to Darby’s...peaches. No really, she’s a peach farmer. Get that mind out of the gutter, and get on down to the farm to see what happens when circumstances force Colt and Darby to team up. They may just find that the peach trees aren’t the only things in bloom.

Love this series but....

I stumbled across the series when I was cancelling my Audible Escape membership. I am so glad I found it. The endings are obvious but the fun is in getting there. You feel like you are in Whynot and all these people are your neighbors. With this one the narration is tough which makes the whole story a challenge to get involved with. It is making me want to skip this story and try the next one. I hope the next one has better narration. Seeing the last story in the series has different narration I am hopeful that it is not as difficult to get through.

A bit more dramatic but decent!

An OK read - at times the contrived drama is a bit over the top. Worth reading if you like Sawyer Bennett books that are sweet and not very sensual.

Great story but...

I loved this story so much, but I think It would have been so much better if there was a different male narrator. He totally ruined all the male narrator parts for me. He made colt sound like a bumbling hick idiot! So disappointed!

Another hit!

The more I read this series, the more I want. I love the family relationships, the small town, and the characters. I'm at the point in the series that I feel like the characters are neighbors. The support among the family is beautifully written. Can't wait for more. Savannah Peachwood is an excellent narrator. The more I hear her interpretation the more I appreciate her work. Alexander Cendese also does a great job. These narrators pull me into the story totally.

Great series to listen to.

There is a little bit more drama for Colt Mancinkus in Pretty as a Peach, compared to his siblings in the previous books in the Sex and Sweet Tea series. Still an easy listen though. Colt is such a big softie when it comes to Darby and her daughter Lenny, it didn't take him long to fall for the both of them. I did enjoy the performance of the narrators, although it took me a while to get used to Alexander Cendese being the voice of Colt. He has performed as Pap Mancinkus in the previous 3 books, and initially whenever Colt's POV came up I would hear the narrators voice and immediately think it was Pap! I'm moving straight onto the 5th book in the series - Gimme Some Sugar. It's Larkin's turn to find love, and her love interest just happens to roll into Whynot on his Harley at the end of Pretty as a Peach.
