Publisher's Summary

"We are all monsters here...."

Celestine is a land of beauty and horror where the heroic souls of men are tempted to fall from heights mere mortals were never meant to attain.

Terrence Mack has managed to survive in this brutal world, gathering bonds of great power and ability, passing trials and tribulations that would crush lesser men. Yet his own unwillingness to let others share his burdens may be his undoing, and his greatest challenges are yet to come.

To even reach his destiny, Terry must once again cross the Wildervast, a dream world where desires rule fate. He must survive the machinations of the Mother of Monsters, satisfy the Mistress of Weavers, and come face to face with a man who surpasses him in every way.

His enemy has lived for thousands of years, risen to virtual godhood whilst bent on destroying the world. Terry promised to end that threat, yet the sacrifices he's made have left him vulnerable and the greatest threat to his ultimate success may lie not within the Dust Lord...but himself.

The last book in the series

THIS REVIEW WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS SO IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS DON'T READ ANY FURTHER! I love all the books in the Celestine Chronicles series except Book 6. I couldn't get into the book and jumped between chapters a lot. I don't know if it was because he left the best/most interesting members of his harem Behind. or if it was because that if felt like what this book took 12 hours and 11 min to hell could probably have been told in about 3-4 hours. All they did was talking about how they couldn't beat the dust lord but would somehow find a way to do it. And how Terry would die even if he Won against the dust lord (which he didn't of course). and then he just walked up to the dust lord and got beat pretty bad and how his gorgon monster girl (the one on the cover) killed the dust lord and some other things I won't spoil...... BUT the worst thing in my opinion is that when everything is done and he returns to the rest of his harem. he doesn't talk to shay(his dryad) and his dragon or ask for their forgiveness. or see their reaction to him defeating the dust lord. so in saying, we don't get so say goodbye to them before the book ends. so the last thing we see of Shay is her crying about him leaving her. behind and her confessing her love for him(book 5) and we don't know/see if she forgives him. but she probably did when she finally get out of her tree form(pregnancy). and at least to me, it felt like a gut punch and the book would have been so much better if in the final words of the book. He was with his First harem member(shay) kissing her, asking for her forgiveness, and ask if she is ready to spend eternity with him

Love this story

Love this story and all the characters but the MC is too annoying to like with all his false hopes and opinions based on a world he's not even part of anymore. He thinks he knows best but gets proven wrong every single time but continues to do what he wants and other people pay for it. Great story other than that.

A truly rare gem in it's genre

Smart, fun, and honestly a fabulous tale compared to any genre. If you're ok with the sexiness, it's absolutely worth all six books.

Good man trying to be good but not knowing how

First I'm going to say Cebelius is creating a world in Celestine that is every bit as complex, wonderful, wicked, evil, and innocent as this world we live in. Tess Irondale is one of the best female narrator's out there. The reluctant hero of this story is a man who does not want to be wicked and yet believes he is and only the truly wicked believes him to be. This is not a story that you can read, or listen to in the final chapter. Start with book one and read the entire Celestine Chronicles. You will laugh, get angry, blush, and cheer for this unlikely hero who would be happier living in peace as a warrior in a garden but chooses to go to battle for a promise and the... beings he loves.

Good, interesting and deeply unsatisfying.

The resolution to the central conflict of the series was some of the most unsatisfying literature I've ever heard, even if it was kinda interesting. Overall though the book brings a wholesome and heartwarming conclusion to the story.

I love this Chronicle!

I stumbled upon Mask of the Template once I got kindle unlimited and am so glad I did, I loved it. This book was a great wrap up but I am a little disheartened that it is over but I will listen to it many times over for it is mine forever!

Excellent story from start to finish

The story really carried me through all six books. The narrator performance was top shelf excellent. The conclusion of this book series has been worth the wait and credits. Good job to all involved in this production.

Honestly, A Surprise listen

To Be Honest, I didn’t expect it to be a Harem Fantasy Series When Audible Suggested the first book, It was well done with character development and the Narrator was amazing, The Full aspect of people getting annoyed with the MC is Humorous to me, cause your taking a Meat Head to a Nerd by the end of the Series, granted the books would have been much longer if they followed the growth of Making A meat head boxer into an arch-mage, All and All Everything was well done,

Fun but Done.

Glad I listed, but also glad to be done with the series, as it was a little tedious for the last couple of books. Tess Irondale is exceptional, and does a great job with all the characters, despite some of the cliche dialog. "Hey Brighteyes". Overall 3 Stars is where it belongs.

Great ending of a great story.

Overall there was a really good ending. Last book was really really good, and still the worst of the series but not as good as the rest of them. But it was an ending to a great journey. Can always be better and below with some spoilers I will tell why. SPOILERS!! Well my first problem was not that some where left behind as I thought it would be. Prada had always been there Supporting him in her own way, but in this last one it felt like she fell away forgotten from time to time. Euryale going batshit when she saw Athena is understandable, but her forgetting Terry feels weird. Fight against Thomas was not great but that was still expected, guy had over thousend bonds and were really powerful. But the last part with Koschei was just bad. Didnt like the character from the start, he should have been the forgotten midboss that he was. I understand the need to give Terry the magic knowledge he needed but he could have gotten the knowledge from baba-yaga or something. Dude got more then enough mental problems as it is. Skadi's love felt weird but I was okay with it, it was forced with his power but I guess they will get together from time to time. As a nord myself I like that they used some Norse mythology aswell. Liked that they used Skadi as a character and even told the tale of the sword Tyrfing. And mingle it into a story with titans and olympia. Overall a great mix. My biggest problem was not meeting Shy in the entire book. I understand why, I really do, but as my favorite character I still wanted more of her. I felt like I could fall in love with Tess Irondale from just listning to her narrating Shy alone. Ofc just "seeing" her in her treeform had to do since I understand why, just wished we could have met there little dryad daughters. And last but not least.. Why did they not let him meet his glorious Dragon Asturial, why did they just leave her out of it. Okey it worked since we know they would meet again in a few days or weeks, but I still would have prefered to them meeting one last time in the end. Maby let her know the gift he got from Euryale and that they could be together a long long time. Just wanted her loving reaction. All that said I still really liked the book, the series was fantastic and I will really miss the characters. Tess Irondale has really done a great job, and it was the first time I liked a woman narrating. Its not that all men do good reading, I had just never found a woman who did a good job, but now I have. I even think the is my number one narrator tbh and I will stat listning to her other work. Favorite characters was 1. Shy 1.1 Prada 3. Euryale 3.2 Asturial 5. Mila 5.5 Najaha 7. Leyna 8. Skadi 9. Arachne 10. His pet Eyedemon. 11. Nightmare i always forget the name of 12. Hola, I really didnt like the Oni.

Perfect ending

The perfect ending to an awesome tale. It's sad to see it go, but it's much worse to let it flow forever. it was a fitting and satisfying ending.
