Loved it but…

It’s was really hard to keep the male characters straight no change in the voice. Kinda hunger games ish but more banter which was so good loved the ending can’t wait for the next book

Need book 2 immediately

The fact that this book had no smut and I can’t even complain about it. It didn’t even need it. Loved it. I couldn’t stop listening. It gives me fantasy, little bit of action, slow burn romance, plot twist and more. The book was written perfectly and kept me super engaged. The perfect voices were used to read the books as well. Loved!

Hunger Games with a twist

This entire book gave me Hunger Games vibes (which I’ve reread multiple times because I love that series so much). The things I loved most about Powerless is that the MFC is so badass (way more than Katniss Everdeen). Its so easy to get attached to her and her journey. I also enjoyed the Elite status/magical aspect throughout this story. Very enjoyable and ends on a cliffhanger so hurry up Lauren Roberts and get the next book out!! ♥️

Absolutely In Love

Everything was so captivating about this book. I couldn’t get enough. The desire and banter between Kai and Pey - WOW! Literally made my heart sing then scream in frustration. Ugh! The climax and ending had me holding my breath. The writing was soo so good. But my favorite part about this book is Chase Brown; i got so excited every time it was Kai’s POV. His voice was so perfect. Excited for whats to come in the future! (Prob my 2nd favorite book ever!)

I need the second one now

I love the narrators. The characters and plot kept me interested the whole time. Their banter was absolutely hilarious.

OMG

This is literally the best book I have read/listened to in yearsssssss. I was hooked from the beginning. It occupied my mind for days.

I cannot recommend it enough. If you are a fan of (enemies to lovers), slow burn, and I really mean slow burn. Then this is for you. SUCH A GREAT BOOK. I cannot wait for the sequel.

Great start to a trilogy!

One of my new favorite books!

This book pleasantly surprised me. I heard that this book is similar to The Hunger Games and Red Queen. Although it has aspects that are similar, it developed into some thing so much more than that. I truly enjoyed the main character and the love interest.  It has been a long time since I have read a slow burn romance book with a well developed plot. The writing is beautiful and sometimes reads as if the characters are speaking in poems. I placed this book on my bookshelf, with a court of thorns and roses and throne of glass. That should tell you how much I enjoyed Powerless. I can’t wait to see where Lauren will take us in the next book. Powerless is one of my favorite books that I have read this year.

Engaging and intense

It reminded me a bit too closely of the hunger games at times. But by the time it finished it felt overall different and unique. Talk about enemies to lovers! The cliffhanger at the end left me anxious for book two, wondering how their romance could possibly overcome the emotional turmoil of their situation.
