Cassandra Steel and Commander Stone are a unique pair. Together, they comprise the first human/Kindred detective team on the Tampa PD. Their caseload is pretty normal until a heinous new crime is committed - a woman is murdered, and it appears that the culprit is a Kindred.

Another winner

It’s remarkable how Evangeline continues to dream up these very interesting stories; apparently has an endless imagination! All of the stories in the series has a similar thread but are different. Just hate to have Kindred series come to an end because I have enjoyed each book immensely. Mackenzie and William both do an extraordinary job bringing each character to life. Maybe they can narrate a book together in the future? Hopefully Evangeline can continue to bring us more Kindred books. Now to try and find another Kindred book I have not listened to!

Am I back in Junior High?

Let me start by saying I enjoyed the plot. Author has created a very fun universe and I love the Kindred males. My problem with this story is the lead female. I grew very annoyed with inner dialog of self doubt and issues with her body. And her behavior reminds me of how I acted around boys when I was 13 y/o. "ummm... maybe we should practice touching each other. Just to make our acting more believable of course". Ugh. She's a grown woman. I wish she would act like it.
