When the Pineapple Port crew packs up a snake-bus and head to North Carolina for a vacation, the Outer Banks will never be the same....

Wall Street Journal and USA TODAY best-selling author Amy Vansant packs up the Pineapple Port crew and sends them north in Book Five of the hilarious mystery series you won't believe!

The Pineapple Port crew takes a road trip to the Outer Banks, North Carolina, only to discover “body bits” in their vacation home. The nursing home next door is run by some suspicious characters, and one of their residents is missing. Hmm.... As the bits o' somebody pile up (and Mariska keeps them neat and safe in a butter dish), amateur sleuth Charlotte Morgan and her friends must solve the murder before a storm blows them all back to Florida!

The Pineapple Port Mystery Series is both sweet and wicked, and always hilarious! Fans of funny mysteries that remain real puzzles to the end will put the Pineapple Port series on their virtual shelves next to Janet Evanovich, Carl Hiaasen, and Jana DeLeon.

Quirky characters and unusual crime

I very much enjoyed this delightful crew of quirky characters. The unique part about this cast of characters is the mix of ages between seniors and 20 somethings. Both groups enjoy each others company and easily tolerate each others foibles. You can tell they know each other well and like spending time together. They make you happy to be spending time with them as well.

The mystery was quite well presented with plenty of red herrings and misleading clues. It was definitely not obvious and left me guessing to the end. Our young detective, Charlotte, was able to solve the puzzle just before the police finally arrived, which made her feel vindicated and worthy of her new private detective license expected any day in the mail.

cozy mystery

this is the first book I've listened to by this author and I can say that I highly enjoyed it. The performance was spot on and even though this is book 5 in the series I feel like it could totally be a stand alone. I didn't feel lost at all. These characters where so full of personality and the narrator was able to bring that to life (as well as the author - of course)! Sweet and fun and full of twists that will keep you guessing on who done it!

A Humorous Mystery

This mystery had a lot of humor! Who knew that finding body bits could be so funny rather than gory? The plot kept me guessing about how many victims, who did it, and the motivation. The ending was a surprise that I didn't see coming. The narrator did a great job with all of the various voices too. This audio book was entertaining and original,

A funny murder mystery!

Pineapple Beach House: A Pineapple Port Mystery
Pineapple Port Mysteries, Book 5
By: Amy Vansant
Narrated by: Rosemary Benson
This is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary. This is the strangest mystery I have ever read/listened to! Lol! A group of friends go on vacation and at this house they end up finding a person's finger near the outside trash almost as soon as they get there. It just gets worse from then on! Who's bits are these?
A fun read with them trying to figure out what happened! Soon the neighbors are involved! It is a funny story despite a murder mystery story! 😁
Lots of surprises, a little suspense, heavily sprinkled with humor, great characters, and I love the added weird bits of the story such as their vehicle, and in the beginning of the book when they went to the wrong club!
The narration was terrific! Truly enjoyed this book!

Fun Entry

So far, this is probably my favorite book in the series. I laughed out loud several times.

These books often have silly plots, but they’re fun to read. I enjoy the many older characters, they are all well over 55.

The reader has just the right style and tone for this series.

The reactions of the characters to finding body parts scattered through the house where they’re staying are not what I would expect from any group of adults. I accept the plots as they are, because the books are fun to listen to.

Biting off More . . .

The action moves out of Florida for a Thanksgiving work-in-lieu-of-rent North Carolina beach vacation. Author Amy Vansant's trademark humor is bolstered by narrator Rosemary Benson's well-voiced characterizations as bits and pieces of a body keep turning up. Is this one murder or are a series of corpses crying for justice?

Witty, Wacky so darn good!

When I first read the book I was blown away by how many funny one-liners this book had. Yes, it is a mystery but the characters are so over the top that you just shake your head and love every minute you spend reading about their adventure. I got the audible version of this mystery and as much as I loved reading it the narrator Rosemary Benson took it one step more. Do yourself a favor get the audiobook it will make your day!

Beach Vacations Will Never Be The Same

Loved the characters and and their reactions to the "finds" in the house. Pay very close attention to the beginning of the story. Humor and yuck will go hand and hand as you work your way through this story. Great job of keeping the story characters ' voices differentiated.

A great listen

The characters from Pineapple Port are wonderfully stated in this audible book. This time they are on a working vacation in North Carolina. When human body parts start turning up, Charlotte is in detective mode. With the help of Declan and Shamus, they are out to discover whose these parts belong to. You're not quite sure whose behind this and who these belong to until closer to the end and it comes as a little surprising. The narrator makes this an even more fun adventure with her vocals and how she brings each character to life. I really enjoyed listening to this book. Would highly recommend.

Cute, funny mystery!

The characters are lovable and hilarious. The story was easy to follow and enjoyable. Great descriptions of the scene and events-I felt like I was in North Carolina in the storm with the crew from the Lizzard bus!
