Twisted & Good

This is such a twisted freaky story! The narration by Andrew Gibson is fantastic and brings even more creepiness to the story.

Quick and fun read with some good twists

This was my first book by Mr. Gunnells, and I was not disappointed. Thoroughly enjoyed the story. The pacing was perfect. Surprise ending caught me totally off guard. The characters are very likable as well. It was not graphic, but does have some horrible situations. Highly recommend this one.

The Narration was perfect as well. Many different voices to animate the cast of characters. Listened to it in one sitting.

Riveting

This dark tale was chilling, each chapter told from a different perspective. Yet, it didn't deter you from connecting with the characters. The narrator's performance was perfection.

good tension in this thriller

The main plot of the story has some similarities to many other psycho abduction thrillers so if you're a fan of this genre, the general style of this story will be familiar. However, there are some interesting twists and turns that make it worthwhile to keep reading until the end. I like the length of the story, too. The author could have padded out the story to lengthen it in various ways, but that might have affected the pacing and tension. I can easily envision this story as a movie.

No complaints about the narration. Andrew Gibson's voice had a good level of intensity that complemented this style of story. I did increase the playback speed to suit my personal preferences.

Amazing narration!

I fell in love after the first sentence, Andrew did an amazing job and I will definitely be back for more!!

WOW

What an unexpected gem. The author fleshes out some fantastic characters and really takes you on a ride. I do not want to spoil it but it's fantastic and definitely worth the listen!!

Psycho sic

This was more than a super creepy story. It was extremely sad. I was hopeful for a better ending but that didn't happen. just more pain and sadness. The positive points I can agree with is the inclusion of prominent issues of today, like MENTAL ILLNESS , lgbtq , race/religion biases. Going back and detailing each "abduction " was interesting to the storyline too, and added to the sic profile presented. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

A bit long, but decent

When I read the description of this book in FreeAudiobookboom, I immediately wanted it. Even if I didn't get a free code, I probably would have hunted it down, at least in ebook form.
But I got a free code and am so glad I listened to it. Each time I got entranced in the story, the chapters would change and it would backtrack into character development, or another storyline that released the tension. Don't get me wrong, it's still a good story, but it could have been so much better. If I had read it instead of listening, I very well may have DNFed it The ending was not what I expected and literally made me LOL

Story

It was a great book, but i did feel the story was a little all over the place. Every chapter it skipped from character to character, which made it a bit confusing at first.

One thing I dislike that the ending wasn’t a happy-ending.

I’m left with many questions!

Other than that I enjoyed listening to the story and learning the character in detail.

This was my first time experiencing a story by Mark Allan Gunells and I'm looking forward to reading some more by him. This book will captivate you from start to finish! The intense journey of Patrick and Clare is very well done and the antagonist is very sinister. All of this tension explodes in a jaw dropping finale that will blow you away. I'm so glad I got the chance to discover this gem and I hope you enjoy the ride too!
