Constant twists!

Fun cozy mystery with plenty of twists and turns till the very end! Will definitely continue the series!

OMG a must read

This book had me literally laughing out loud. The characters are unforgettable and the plot amazing. Money well spent.

cute story but did not care for reader

Overall it was ok. Will try one more from this author if a different reader. Found myself wanting to stop listening.

Funny

This was a funny book filled with murder and mystery. Some very quirky characters in the story.

What a hoot! & yet, it keeps you guessing “what next?”

I have been listening to this series off and on for years. I have throughly enjoyed each book I listened to (none in order, all great!). I took advantage of an Audible special to purchase the first two books in the series. I couldn’t put the first book in the series down! Just like the other Donna Andrews’ stories, I found myself laughing out loud throughout most of the book. If you are looking for an amusing, wonderful mystery, any of Donna Andrews’ books in this series is the book for you.

Not so much

I have listened to several books read by Bernadette Dunne which I have enjoyed but this one not so much. I really couldn't get past the third chapter because of her voice. I really was looking for a new murder mystery series but I just can't stay focused on the story because of her voice. Maybe I need to read the book instead of the audible version.

THE WEDDINGS FROM HELL!

MURDER WITH PEACOCKS BY DONNA ANDREWS AND NARRATED BY BERNADETTE DUNNE is the first of the Meg Langslow series. The book introduces us to Meg Langslow and her entire wacky family. Meg is tasked with being wedding coordinator for not one but three weddings.
Megs' best friend Eileen's is the first wedding and Eileens nowhere to be found and no dress picked out, Wedding number two is her brother Rob's wedding to Samantha, whom no one in the family likes. The third, Megs mom. Meg hates her choice for husband number two as well.
During the entire summer planning of the weddings Meg must find a murderer, tackle dozens of wedding participants, put up with three soon to be brides wacky and impossible tasks. If all of that isn't bad enough, Meg is being targeted along with Megs dad who fancies himself as Sherlock Holmes by the murderer.
Meg also finds herself falling in love with Be Stitched temporary manager, Michael Waterston, who the whole community tells Meg that he's gay.

I fell in love with Meg and her entire wacky family years ago and listen and relisten to her audiobooks. Thanks to Bernadette Dunne, the narration and voice characterization of the whole clan of Langslow,s makes the series a great funny listen, whether it's your first listen or 50th!

Slow

Couldn’t connect with the characters probably due to the poor performance by the narrator. The storyline was good but it was too drawn out.

Like the story but not the narrator

The story was adorable, but the narrator did not work for this character and it was very distracting to listen to her.
