Publisher's summary

They came to earth—Pestilence, War, Famine, Death—four horsemen riding their screaming steeds, racing to the corners of the world. Four horsemen with the power to destroy all of humanity. They came to earth, and they came to end us all.

When Pestilence comes for Sara Burn’s town, one thing is certain: everyone she knows and loves is marked for death. Unless, of course, the angelic-looking horseman is stopped, which is exactly what Sara has in mind when she shoots the unholy beast off his steed.

Too bad no one told her Pestilence can’t be killed.

Now the horseman, very much alive and very pissed off, has taken her prisoner, and he’s eager to make her suffer. Only, the longer she’s with him, the more uncertain she is about his true feelings towards her, and hers towards him.

And now, well, Sara might still be able to save the world, but in order to do so, she'll have to sacrifice her heart in the process.

Does Love Conquer all?

It’s a common question and the prevailing theme of this story. The tale is tragically beautiful. This is my first listen to a Thalassa book and was well worth the time. I found the story intriguing and I can’t wait for continued books in the series.

Capturing

I laughed, I loved and I cried. How is it possible to still find a book so original feeling and creative? I will impatiently await the next.

One of my new Favs 💖

I really enjoyed this book. It was a very interesting storyline. It shocked me at the beginning but once I kept going I just couldn’t stop and I couldn’t get enough of it and Pestilence. Some parts made me gasp and some made me laugh, some made me tear up. And to me, that’s what I want in a book. I love Laura’s style of writing, it’s so fresh and unique. And the narrator sets it off. By far my favorite narrator, hands down.

The subject of the story my not be for everyone, (and that’s ok) but I definitely think it is worth a try.

a story you will absolutely enjoy

Pestilence is a journey you don't want to miss it is filled with sadness, pain, hope and love. I loved everything about this book but especially the build up of the characters and their relationship. The pace of the story was perfect and it was easy to connected with the feeling and emotion they shared for each other. You know a story is great when you feel as though you can see through the eyes of a character. I definitely look forward to listening to the next book in the series. Actually downloading it right now.

I would also like to add that the narrator was amazing and did a great job bringing the story to life.

End of the World as We Know it & I Feel Fine

Laura Thalassa has a great way of making the end of the world sound enticing. With a sexy horsemen, strong female lead character and a million twists and turns, you are guaranteed to enjoy the ride…Laura’s main characters are always witty, have a way of changing up the script on how we view a damsel in distress & I love her plot twist endings!
