The jock, the nerd, and a little spring fever...

Ned

I don’t understand hockey at all. Or any sport. Attending a team party with my best friend might be a mistake. As an out and proud geek, I admit that hanging out with a bunch of jocks and their admirers isn’t my idea of fun, but getting kidnapped by a sexy hockey player who claims to have a crush on me is definitely a highlight. And finding out that Logan St. James is bisexual makes everything more interesting.

Logan

Keeping my big bi secret hasn’t been easy. I have a couple of months of college left and one more game to play. I’m determined to make the most of it and spend as much time as possible with the sexy guy I’ve had a crush on since freshman year. I don’t want this to be over. There must be a way to come out in spring.

Out in Spring is a low-angst MM, bisexual awakening staring a hunky hockey player, a sweet-natured geek, and a little college fun. This story is part of the Out in College series, but each audiobook can be listened to as a stand-alone.

Delicious, Sexy Series!

Found this author, and the Out in College collection while searching on Michael Dean. NEVER disappointed by his gorgeous vocal talents, though not every author or material he's handled, but that's fine. To each their own.

This six book series was very fun. College age compatible characters, feeling their way through the unique years of learning & figuring out where life is headed. Not too much angst nor drama, believable scenarios, engaging storylines, and passionate lovemaking! Certainly what I appreciate & enjoy in this delicious M/M genre.

Lane Hayes is a new author for me, and I look forward to more of her work... especially if it's narrated by the sexy, expressive Mr. Dean!!

Enjoy.

All around love it

Only complaint is it was too short! Ned is adorable and I love the need/ altered trope! Just like all the other books in this series, I loved it. This is the only series Ive read from this author and I think it’s about time I finally start some of the others. And of course goes with our day.. Micheal Dean did an amazing job narrating, he is definitely one of my favorite narrators. If I’m on the fence on weather I should read/listen to a book and he is the narrator - makes it an automatic yes for me.

Short but great story, great narration.

Out in Spring is the perfect length audiobook for listening to it in one evening. It may be on the shorter side for books by Lane Hayes but it's not lacking on feels. Because it's shorter it doesn't go into as much detail about the characters but I'm a fan of novella length stories and this is a good one.

As usual, Michael Dean (FKA Michael Pauley) turned in an outstanding performance using different voices for each character so that it was easy to distinguish who was speaking. He has narrated all of the books in this series and I loved all of them.

I reviewed the ebook back on May 11th. Below is what I said about the story then.

Engineering student Ned just can't believe that hockey player Logan wants him. Logan's not out as bi but he's been crushing on Logan for a few years. When a chance meeting at a party gives him an excuse to connect with Ned, he doesn't hesitate to make the most of his good fortune.

It's takes a fair amount of convincing before Ned really believes that Logan is interested in him. Once they get on the same page things really heat up and there's a nice amount of sexy time. Logan's ex tries to throw a wrench into their relationship but Logan is able to fix that in the best way.

Out in Spring is a great addition to the Out in College series and I'm looking forward to reading more books in this world.

A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.

Hockey Sexy times!

The combination of two of my favorite narrators and authors and I knew this audio was going to be sexy and fun! Michael Dean has done such an amazing job narrating the Out in College series and this short was fantastic! Cue all the swoony feelings! I loved Ned and Logan’s story! I’m a big fan of when assumed opposites attract and I especially love when the “Jock” gets the “Nerd”. That’s right, in this case it was the Jock finally getting the Nerd he’d been crushing over all through college. I loved how Logan had been crushing over Ned, moments over the years imprinting on him. Poor Ned had no idea until Logan finally got his opportunity. I loved their developing friendship and holy hotness those sexy times were fan yourself worthy!! I totally felt myself blushing a bit while Michael narrated some sexy times! I loved this installment in the “Out in College” series and this novella will definitely be in the series re-listen rotation.

Loved This🤩

A low angst, sweet, opposites attract romance!

I so loved this one.

Logan and Ned were so cute together and I was absolutely gushing over them.

The chemistry between them was off the charts and the dynamics of their relationship was so in sync.

The storyline was compelling and the writing style was enjoyable and engaging.

I definitely recommend listening /reading this in the series order but in can be enjoyed as a standalone as well

Michael Dean's audio delivery and narration was smooth, coherent and flawless.

Short but sweet sports story

I’ve enjoyed this entire book series so it was a no brained to grab this short story as well.

It’s a feel-good, low angst, college sports story featuring the athlete and the nerd. Plot twist, this time around it wasn’t the nerd who was pining for the popular athlete, it’s the other way around.

Logan and Ned are so cute together. Their chemistry was high. So hot together. But also, so sweet and effortless. It kinda makes you wish the story can be a tad bit longer.

Michael Dean, this is one narrator that’s an automatic buy for me. He’s just amazing at what he does. 💙

A Perfect Snack

Short, low angst, and superb narration makes this a great quick, feel-good read. A perfect indulgence for whenever and wherever, with no guilt about neglecting responsibilities for an overly long time. I’d definitely recommend!

Sweet and angst free

Loved the story when I read it so I didn't hesitate when the audio came out and I purchased it. Alas I think I've outgrown Michael Dean as a narrator cos I didn't feel that he gave more depth and feeling to the story, which what I'm looking for in an audiobook since I'm quite the flat reader. But that's my issue with the narrator, si don't hesitate to give this a try.
