  • Dear Next Generation,
    May 29 2024

Have you ever seen a US Flag draped over a coffin? Have you seen the Service personnel fold this flag? I believe this is still one of the most impactful moments of my life, watching this take place is powerful, and emotional. Who is this "next generation" to answer this call to defend and perhaps die for this country? My guest today is Don Mann. Don is a former U.S. Navy SEAL. The U.S. Navy SEALs, officially established in 1962 by President John F. Kennedy, evolved from the Navy's Underwater Demolition Teams (UDTs) of World War II. These elite warriors were created to conduct unconventional warfare, specializing in direct action, special reconnaissance, counter-terrorism, and foreign internal defense. Being a U.S. patriot means embodying the values of courage, dedication, and selflessness, traits exemplified by the SEALs. It's crucial to strive to be stronger, faster, and smarter not just for personal growth, but to serve and protect the nation effectively. Individuals can contribute to a better society by doing something good for others, reflecting the SEALs' commitment to defending freedom and helping those in need. This ethos of continuous improvement and altruism strengthens individual capabilities and patriotism's collective spirit. Join me as we try on Don Mann's shoes.

  • Dear Northern Light,
    May 22 2024

When you think of the Northern Lights what comes to mind? My guest today is Amber Fuhriman. Amber writes a letter to her dad and shares why he made such an impact on her life. The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, paint the Arctic skies with a mesmerizing dance of vibrant colors. This celestial spectacle, resulting from charged particles from the sun colliding with gases in the Earth's atmosphere, creates a breathtaking display of swirling hues predominantly seen in regions near the North Pole. From emerald greens to vivid purples and shimmering blues, the auroras weave a tapestry of light against the dark canvas of the night sky, captivating observers with their ethereal beauty and mystical allure. Enveloped in a sense of wonder, those fortunate enough to witness this natural phenomenon are treated to a fleeting glimpse of the universe's awe-inspiring grandeur. Join me as we walk in Amber's shoes.

  • Dear Grandpa,
    May 15 2024

Where were you in 1985? The Judds were singing about an amazing Grandpa. "Grandpa Tell me 'bout the good old days Sometimes it feels like This world's gone crazy". My guest today is Matthew Thomas. Matt is in law enforcement. Matt's bond with his grandfather, a veteran of World War II, was profound and enduring. Through stories of courage and sacrifice, his grandfather instilled in him the significance of honor, duty, and integrity. Beyond recounting tales of battlefields, he imparted invaluable life lessons, emphasizing the weight of a handshake as a symbol of trust and respect. More than a gesture, it embodied the integrity and commitment Matt's grandfather lived by. Furthermore, he underscored the importance of service to others, illustrating how one's actions can make a difference in the lives of those around them. Matt's grandfather taught him about history and the essence of being a compassionate and conscientious individual, leaving an indelible mark on his character and values. Join me as we walk in Matt's shoes.
