Somebody once told a joke.

A man ran in place all his life. He worked a job he didn't love for people he couldn't stand. But at the end of the day, the number in his bank account went up.

That man got a second chance at life. He woke up in another world, one full of adventures and romances and monsters and gods. And floating above his head, he saw the number "1".

So what did he say?

"Gosh, I better make the number go up."

Not today. Not for this old soul. Reborn as a beast of battle meant to live a short life and die screaming, Garek refuses. He puts the madness of skills and levels behind him and sets out to found a little farmstead. He grows crops. Maybe someday he'll get a pig and have bacon.

It's a shame the world won't let him be. It's a shame that the warmongers and level-grinders hate nothing more than a soul at peace.

He put down his sword for a plowshare, but when trouble comes calling, he'll pick it up again.

Very fresh take

I love this new story and fresh take I’m really excited to see what happens with the main character in the future

A lot of fun to listen to. Enjoyed it from beginning to end.

Really good and exciting fight sequences, likeable characters, I enjoyed the main character a bunch. I think it is a clever world. The narrator is great. I am looking forward to more.

Took a minute to get used to narrator 

It took a minute to get used to the narrator. He has a very different voice from others that I’ve heard, but he’s really good at different trading between characters. The story was pretty good and very interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed that and there’s plenty of meat left over at the end, that you really excited to listen to the next story. 

Also, the story gets a little poetic at times, which can sort of take care of the immersion, but it helps to stabilize the Minotaur character

Unique Listen

This tale is pleasantly balanced with action, character building and lore. I am happy to have invested my limited life to listeing to this entertainmening journey of Garrick the Minotaur.

Beautiful writing. Engaging story. Solid voice acting.

I’ve come to expect lower quality writing in litrpg. This book reminded me of what thoughtful prose can bring to a story. Intelligent writing with a strong vocabulary. The writing fluctuated from vivid to sparse in a way that accented the story and characters. I never felt it bog down. The story and world building were largely created together and felt organic. You know what you need to know when you need to know it.

The performance for this is excellent

This was a good book. The I liked the characters, the humor and performance stood out which had me laughing out loud at certain points. An area it can improve on is dealing less in interpresonal relationships and more in progression of the farm. This is because I love progression stories.

Overall, I would recommend this book.

Great story telling and fudge magic

Really liked the story telling and the characters I felt like I was right there beside the characters

it's like beware of chicken but with a lot more action in it. it was fun to listen to and I'm hoping the writer makes more books.

Main character wasn’t a crybaby.

Overall the writing was well balanced between slice of life and fighting. The main character only builds platonic relationships with the other characters.

All key characters are described as adults I don’t know what book that one guy was listening to.

Moo'r Please!

If you have ever heard of Jonathan Keeble's audio performance in Warhammer's audio books or audio dramas you need to check out One Moo'r Plow. This LitRPG is fantastic and was better then expected. I love the talent that Jonathan Keeble brought to this audio book. The writing by Exemplar was amazing and the story took turns that made me want to listen more. I was skeptical at first about the farming part of the story, but that part just got more interesting as the story went on. Really loved the main characters thought process and frankness of situations. I'd recommend this book to those that would like a mix of fighting and farming. Both have interesting parts in the story and is worth the listen. I hope this helps those looking for their next audio book. 🤩👍
