Remembering the dead will always give them life.

The coveted Morrígan’s staff is up for sale on the black market to the highest bidder, and SOA Special Agent Patrick Collins will do whatever it takes to ensure the Dominion Sect doesn’t get their hands on it. Returning the weapon to its rightful owner is another step on the long road toward clearing Patrick’s soul debt, but he won’t walk it alone. Jonothon de Vere won’t let him.

Obeying the gods means Patrick must travel to London. For Jono, it means facing a past he thought he’d left behind forever. His return to England isn’t welcome, and neither is their pack, but Jono and Patrick will face the antagonism together. Politics aside, their priority must be the mission, but the bone-chilling secret they uncover in the London god pack will have far-reaching repercussions no one can ignore.

A race against time takes Patrick and Jono from the streets of London to the bright lights of Paris, where hospitality is thin on the ground, the air is filled with whispered prayers for the missing, and the Morrígan’s staff will end up in the one place it should never have gone - a graveyard.

For beneath Paris lie the long-forgotten dead, and when they rise to walk again, the living can only hope to die.

On the Wings of War is a m/m urban fantasy with a gay romantic subplot and a HFN ending. It is a direct sequel to A Vigil in the Mourning. Listening to the first book in the series would be helpful in enjoying this one.

On the Wings of War was another amazing action filled addition to the Soulbound series. The story was filled with epic adventures, snarky humor, and a few zombies thrown in for fun🙂.

Jono and Patrick’s European adventure!

disliked wades character he was annoying as hell. could have done without Wade being hungry every 30 seconds.

the story and all other characters are awesome!

This series just gets better and better.
The world building is extraordinary, the character development is sublime.
...and then Gary Furlong comes along with his absolutely amazing narration skills and hits this out of the park!
Wow!!

This one has such great pacing and seemless action - do you need more of a sell than: Zombie Invasion and absurd amounts of property damage?
Furlong did an exceptional job too with attention to details (making Patrick have less accurate French pronunciation than Jono for example.)
If you've followed the series this far, you'll love this one!

Best yet!

The stakes are higher as Patrick and pack head to Paris!!!

Tons of action, great fights, and the pack being cuteee!!! The last 3rd had me freaking out! And by the end of the book i screamed out loud!

Another “page turner”

I really do enjoy this series but the chapters in Paris just seem forced as I'm used to a more immersive story from this author. Instead I kept on having to reread sections as I felt that I was being rushed through although that might be because the author was trying to push the urgency of the situation. I'm not going to ruin the ending for anyone but It makes it clear that this book is definitely laying the ground for the next one. So I look forward to the next.

I think this is my favorite in the series, but I may have said that before. I enjoyed hearing more from Jono's POV. There are a lot of new characters introduced in the story, some more significant than others. Turner does a fantastic job with the character development of each as needed.

This story takes our MCs to London, and then on to Paris. They learned the lesson with long distances when Patrick went to Chicago, and they're not going to repeat the past. They bring Sage and Wade, leaving the New York pack in capable hands.

They are after the staff again, and now a necromancer is after it as well. They even make a deal with less savory characters in order to have a chance of getting it, but things go wrong, and once again, it slips through their hands.

The necromancer is either after a god head or worshipping one, and Patrick is afraid it might be Ethan. Patrick calls upon an old friend from his military days, and the real battle begins.

This story is about zombies and the man who created them, as well as the political intrigues that develop between Jono's God pack and the European God packs. Let's just say he and the representatives of his pack make quite the impression.

Also of note, Wade gets to be more involved in the action, which I was glad to see. I can't wait to read a story about him and his endless appetite. Overall, the story was entertaining from start to finish, and an excellent addition to the series.

As I've come to expect, Gary Furlong did an amazing job with the narration. His inflections and pace were very well done. I will say that I would give a 4.5 🌟, mainly because I have a hard time with his depiction of the female characters; but it would be rounded up due to the rest of his talent.

Better and better

This is one of those series were you don't know if you want it to end or not. On one hand your favorite characters have gone through so much, you just want them to be happy. And on the other you never want it to end because you love the characters and story so much.
This book was absolutely amazing, and I'm already geared for what's next, the ending is a Super Cliffhanger Ending.
And as always Gary Furlong brings these amazing characters to life.

Never Ending Delight

I love Patrick and Jono! Hailey Turner is a master at writing characters you fall in love with. These guys have been through so much and their fight isn't over yet! I also adore Gary Furlong's depiction of the characters. His rendition of Wade always makes me laugh, bringing humor in the middle of even serious moments. Amazing as always!
