Riveting and Timely

This is a great book and performance especially considering what is happening across the globe now relative to refugees. Very well done and thought provoking.

The narrator is fantastic

A wonderful book. Gripping, thought provoking, relevant to all Australians and Lewis Fitz-Gerald brings all the characters to life. I can’t wait to read more books written by Jock Sarong.

Haunting, disturbing but necessary.

The story was immensely haunting, characters were well developed and I felt connected to them all. A relevant topic to all in Australia. A disturbing but necessary reflection on the effects of unwavering border security.

Worth the time and the credit

I bought this book based on other reviews. I am really glad I followed the advice of other listeners.
The narration is great and the story is quite topical and emotive. I found myself becoming engrossed in this, the first fiction book I’ve bought.
I was a bit disappointed when it ended, such was the quality of this title.

The most important book I’ve read in years...

This is an exceptionally well written book, full of detailed but exact descriptors that bring this story very much to life. This book is not happy, but it is excellent, and should be on the shelf of every Australian concerned with the moral course being steered in our region.

Mandatory reading for all Australians

This story is terrifyingly realistic and should give all Australians cause to closely monitor their Government.

Wow this book blew me away , opening up my eyes about refugees, border protection and Australia politics.

Have to say this is the best book I’ve listened to all year. Performance was amazing. Story kept me open mouthed and hard to stop listening. Right till the very shocking and satisfying end.

Stumbled on a bonzer.

Went out of my usual genre for this daily deal. So glad i did. Topical subject and not always a comfortable one. Dealt with here both from a humanitarian as well as a political view point. Excellent narration, great pace, with individual story lines that stoke the intrigue.
So easy to listen to, couldn't wait to tune in. Just how an Audio should be.
Will look out for more of this author.
