A Brilliant Piece of Work

I was blown away by Mamma Starr's book. It's breathtakingly moving. Not only does she give you a solid understanding of the history of Conjure in the U.S., as well as provide her readers/listeners with dozens upon dozens of step by step rootwork, but she delivers all of the information with such heartfelt grace. There were many times that I went back and listened to sections of the book over again because the underlying message offered good life lessons. There were times that I was brought to tears. The book made me feel empowered from the inside out. God bless you Mamma Starr, and thank you.

The worst narrator I've heard on audible!

it's a good book. Sad to say the narrator ruins the book with her fake accent, and she sounds like she's reading to nursery.

phenomenal

This book is beautifully written and read. I never cared much for being read to but the narrator did a fabulous job of getting my full attention and keeping it. I could listen to it over and over. I'm not a beginner and I have learned a few things and refreshed others. There are not enough words to say how much I enjoy this book. It is the very best book I have read on conjure in a very long time. I was previously bothered by a comment in Q & A and I was having trouble getting back into the book. I started listening again and that melted away. This book is about more than conjure and it has value beyond lessons of conjure. Buy it. Start listening. You will not regret it.

I really think too much time is given to reciting Bible verses when the Lynn The Bible verse could just be provided and we could research that ourselves. That is called trusting the reader to do the work.. Also I am not sure the biographies of the elders is is so necessary. I will dear I was really expecting more more Recipes and incantations incantations for oil's powder's in spell work.. I will be returning this book
