The whispers threaten not only her standing in society but Darcy's as well, forcing them both to confront an agonizing question: can their love survive such a scandal, or will propriety and duty destroy their chance at a future together forever?

Officious Interference is a low angst novel length Pride and Prejudice variation. Set in the regency era, this tale is an enemies to lovers second chance romance that includes a love triangle and a scandalous elopement. The content is closed-door.

GREAT narrator- so much emotional friction!

The end is very satisfying, but OH! the social shenanigans and misunderstandings of the understandings- and the tears!!

DARCY HAS A RIVAL!

this P and P variation is very interesting. it begins later in the story, starting with Elizabeth's visit to see Charlotte Collins in Kent, at the Parson's house on the estate of lady Catherine.

it's also interesting how obnoxious and irrational Mr Collins and Mr Bennett act. but the passionate love story between Darcy and Elizabeth, and Jane and bingley are still there, and both love affairs end with their happy union in marriage.

but Darcy has a rival with a title and great wealth, who is also a bit of a scoundrel who appears to be quite charming, but who thinks too lightly of Elizabeth's Independent spirit.

the narration is good, and I did enjoy this story very much.

One of my favorite variations on P&P

The writing is beautiful, the language exquisite and the plot both intricate & entirely plausible.
Our characters are more themselves than I imagined they could be. Take each one's strongest and weakest characteristics, and then turn their intensity up a notch. Nobody approaches perfect behavior, not even Jane.
The narrator is wonderful, each voice individual and well-acted.
Overall, the entire production was a pleasure to listen to.

What a wonderful P&P variation. The plot was fresh and new, the characters well developed, and the ending unexpected. Darcy fights for what he wants, and Elizabeth follows her heart! Oh we have our HEA, and it’s such a great listen all along the way.

The narration is spot on!

This is an excellent author and I recommend all of her P&P books! Great job and thank you for sharing your talents!
