Publisher's Summary

Jack is out for blood.

After being manipulated by his family most of his life, and believing an even worse lie for the past few years, he has finally learned the truth.

Now that he knows what V-Soft has taken from him, he’s going to take everything from them, even if the country is destroyed in the process. The plan is to strike from all sides, so that those who still live can watch their lives, and their life’s work be reduced to ashes.

But in digging their grave, will Jack wind up buried alongside them?

You must listen to this series.

Absolutely amazing. Hands down my LITrpg series ever. The story writing in this book is so good that I never once had the issue of knowing the conclusion to something and having to just wait there till the MC got to it. Every time I thought I had things figured out, things would go different. The story isn’t dulled by meaningless side-quest or grinding, I never once had a moment where I just wanted things to speed up and get to more action. This book enthralled me and I listened to all 16 hours in the past 36 hours. I had to listen to it every single second I could. I implore you, start this series. You will hate yourself if you don’t.

S-Grade Material

No words describe can adequately describe this book.

This book contains major spoilers if you have not read the previous. I suggest you read it immediately so you can then read this one.

Warning: Contains dark themes and is not suitable for children. Others who are not touchy will absolutely love this.

last book mc was calculating

in this book he starts having random crying fits and acting emotional, followed by shallow psycobabble.

book would be much better if it stuck to in game. the real life stuff feels poorly stitched together and if you are capable of basic logic won't make any sense at all

Story feels like it is starting to stall out

1st book in the series was pretty so I decided to give the 2nd book a shot. The main story line and overall arch seem to he having a difficult time meshing together as the two progress. The online and real world story lines feel like they are being forced together and have no logical synergy with one another.

Needs a little less out of game stuff

Just a little too much out of game stuff for my taste. Other than that an excellent litrpg title.

Not great, but I will finish the series.

I like thinking outside the box, but mattresses.. Ted and Thorns voices coutinue to make me cringe. But some of the NPCs and creatures are pretty badass, and every character other than the 2 previously mentioned are likeable.

it was a slow burn...

slash filler book, slash action/ with lots of banter and lots of forces orders made on the MC. it took a while for me to really get into it ... i think that was mainly because there was lots of information missing for the mc, which was totally his fault lol and there were lots of little things that had me saying "but why didnt he just" or "whats her deal"... lol. but mid way through the book things got interesting enough that i didnt want to sleep lol... and i was really trying to see in the future lol. im not going to lie, this book really made me work for it. meaning, it really made me think, really had me trying to remember what was what, who was who and what would be the outcome if blah happened and where was this leading to and is there more at stake than being told. A book that can make me think, remember names, all while relaxing, is a great F"in book. And the way it ended... smh ... I have lots of questions... Like 5...lol which means... there is another book somewhere... or someone better be making it because wow and wholey S**t!

Good but not satisfying

One of the best things about lit rpg stories is that they get stronger and the greater the deed the fast their levels climb. I really don't like the level system that in place you can kill a probably level 500 god at while your at level 30 and you might come up 1 level what the hell is up with that bull. I mean what's the point in trying to beat hard enemies when you can mine a wall and gain levels way faster. Spoiler alert: For some strange reason he built up a little zombie army of other players and then traded them away for a hand full of half truths. Claiming he didn't need them where he was going but he really did because whole gang are hunting him.

A must read for any Lit RPG fan

The book gives me a bit of rollercoaster emotions when it comes to stupid decisions made by the main character. He does one stupid thing and then I’m happy for him because it works out. He does another even dumber thing and then I’m ecstatic that the plan works! I’ve never rooted so hard for a someone so lucky and unlucky!

A darker tale

really enjoyed the second book in this series though I am concerned that the protagonist has lost some of his humanity.

Still a decent story but it started to drag

I like this series but I don't love this series. The whole taking the castle thing was pretty cool, but this one just isn't really getting my motor running. If you're running out of good LitRPG then definitely put this on your list.

Brilliant!!!

First book was great but this one is way better.
More mature and dark.
I loved raids and rights detailed descriptionl.
Daggers character was well made.

One of the Best LitRPG i have ever listened!!!
Much better than Chaos Seeds or The way of the Shaman.

Thanks!
I'm looking forward to the next one.
I hope it wont take too long.

Obliteration

This book is bloody brilliant Edward Castle did a great job with this story and I can't wait to buy the next book in this series. And with the voice acting talents and skills of Jeff Hays who narration makes the characters and world come alive 12/10 stars a must to listen to and owned..
