Publisher's summary

Who would have thought that parents and grandparents could actually be right? Doug Nadler shares his wisdom gained slowly, through many years, and he explores some of the painful mistakes and memories of his own childhood. Doug Nadler explains what he wishes he knew about managing his personal and professional life when he was much younger. Although the troubles of childhood and adolescence cannot be avoided, we can all learn our lessons quickly and focus our attention on improving over time. Doug emphasizes taking responsibility for decisions, not beating yourself up, and making careful plans to have a better future. The advice is doable and safe, too. Following the advice can only help you, your child, or your grandchild.

There is also a lot of caring about children in Notes from Your Grandfather. The goal of this book is to raise healthier, happier, children who are ultimately better able to succeed in the world of adulthood.

Truthful Advice

Douglas Nadler is a man who had experienced life to its fullest and shares words of wisdom. His wisdom has been gained slowly and painfully at times. Honest, Nadler shares some of his most difficult decisions and disasters. He shares without being condescending. His experiences and words of wisdom will hit home in more ways than one.

The author, Douglas Nadler weaves his advice and stories together in an insightful and comforting manner. He shares his pain, bad decisions, memories, growth, and more. His honest and down-to-earth storytelling style is soothing. He does not sound preachy at all but genuine.

The narrator, Jason Leikam projects a grandfatherly voice making the story more endearing. He smoothly transitions between pieces of advice and story smoothly and without flaw. He is consistent with his delivery, speaking clearly.

This is an interesting book with a wealth of advice and guidance not to be missed.

There were no issues with the production or quality of this audiobook. It was well done.
