Resumen del Editor

Dr. William Glasser offers a new psychology that, if practiced, could reverse our widespread inability to get along with one another, an inability that is the source of almost all unhappiness.

For progress in human relationships, he explains that we must give up the punishing, relationship-destroying external control psychology. For example, if you are in an unhappy relationship right now, he proposes that one or both of you could be using external control psychology on the other. He goes further. And suggests that misery is always related to a current unsatisfying relationship. Contrary to what you may believe, your troubles are always now, never in the past. No one can change what happened yesterday.

Best Self Help Book Ever

The reading of this book was wonderful. I really enjoyed the entire process. This in my mind is no doubt the absolute best self help book I have ever come across. The entire idea is about putting everything back in your own control. I’m looking forward to finding similar types of books and readings to learn more.

Choice Theory is exceptional in written form

The ideas contained in this work are exceptional in so many ways. The audio book does not do justice in my opinion to the written form.

Let me also note that the last section of this book on educational theory stemming from Choice Theory was a let down. Everything up to that point was full of insights. Everything after that point, not so much. Just one man's opinion!

Helpful chapters!

This book really gets you thinking about your everyday life and how the choices your making or not making effects you. I remember some chapters not really applying too much to me (the school one) so I skipped a couple of chapters but other than that everything really hit me hard and really had me opening up to myself to think about how I can implement certain things in my everyday life! Definitely recommend if you struggle making choices or live in a victim mentality!

Good but you lost me at chapter 8.

I love the internal locus of control model.

You lost me at chapter 8 when you solely blamed men for being abusers.

Women can and do physically abuse men amd children too. Both Men and women are accountable for their abusive behavior.
