Publisher's Summary

This is book two in The Five Syndicates series.

Niccolaio Andretti

Asshole. Douchebag. Jerk. Those are all valid descriptions of me, especially since fleeing from Andretti territory. Angry with the turn my life has taken, I prefer the silence and loneliness of my house. Not only is it the safest place for me after my brother placed a hit on me, it is also my sanctuary - my place to get away from the bullshit that is people. Until she comes along - angry, demanding, and so damn hot. I hate her immediately.

Minka Reynolds

Bitch. Tramp. Slut. I've heard it all before. It doesn't bother me. I have more important things to deal with - like graduating from Wilton; taking care of my little sister; and yes, finding the next guy to pay for it all. If I have to sleep around for it? So be it. If I have to lose the dwindling tethers of my sanity every day? So be it. Nothing fazes me. Until he comes along - angry, demanding, and so damn hot. I hate him immediately.

Minka Reynolds has never been liked, but she doesn't care. Struggling to earn custody of her little sister, she is on a mission to gain the only things that will get her there - money, a home, and a stable career. Unfortunately, she has none of those three, but she's close. It's just within reach...until she meets Niccolaio Andretti, the former heir to the Andretti mafia family, and everything she thinks is right becomes wrong.

NOTE: This is the second book in a series and must be heard in order. This book has a HEA with no cheating and abuse! There are some graphic sexual situations, language and violence, so please listen with caution.

🎧AudiobookObsession

Parker Huntington is on fire! Starting first with Book 1- Asher Black (on my top 10 all-time books) and now continuing with Niccolaio Andretti. I absolutely love this Mafia world she has built for us. The Characters are amazing, deep, frustrating, and last but not least SEXY as all get out! Nicco's book was quite different from Asher's. Nicco is a bit edgier and comes with a bit of baggage in my opinion but we love him just the same. I can't wait to read more on this Series~

The Narration was FAN-TA-STIC! Lacy consistently blows me away with her soulful and emotion filled performances. Not only do you feel every word but you love listening to every second of it. She has a voice I could listen to all day. DC Cole was a great addition to this series! I absolutely loved his voices for Nicco. So deep and powerful. Love Love Loved it!

Talk about a powerhouse team!

Slow Burn Mafia Romance

I really enjoyed the narration by DC Cole and Lacy Laurel in this slow burn mafia romance. There was just the right amount of steam, angst, and action to draw listeners/readers in. Though characters from the previous book Asher Black do appear, this book can be enjoyed as a stand alone.

Our hero and heroine, Niccolaio and Minka, are not easy characters to like. They are broken, angry, and trust almost no one. Their pasts have left them unfortunately bitter and alone. As their paths cross though, they recognize the familiarity of their pain in the other and begin an unlikely friendship/arrangement. I liked that both held no punches with the other and that no matter how ugly the truth, they let it all show. The sexual tension and chemistry was amazing and continued to build until it exploded between them. Minka and Niccolaio might drive each other crazy, but they are the perfect crazy for each other.

Both DC Cole and Lacy Laurel captured the pain and heartache of our characters so well, but they also nailed the laugh out loud moments too! The scene where Jax is telling Niccolaio that he will name all of his future offspring after him was the BEST! I love the mix of humor, action, and emotion in Parker S. Huntington's books. The ending of the story brought everything full circle, and was such a wonderful way to bring it all together.

Perfect! (story and narration)

This is the second book in the Five Syndicates Series and the second book written by this author! Amazing! I was waiting for this audiobook, but it was worth the wait. Believe me! This story is different than the first book in the Series. I love the story of Minka and Niccolaio. Their chemistry is like fire. They are both strong. The storyline is really well written, entertaining and captivating. The world building is really well developed and interesting. This story goes back and forth between past and present. The ending is beautiful. I was also very happy and thrilled to see Asher and Lucy from the first book. I loved this couple so much!! If you were thinking Lucy was feisty-crazy, wait for listening to Minka's story. She's feisty, crazy, sassy and unbelievable! Niccolaio is very protective and handsome man. Now, I want more about The Five Syndicates and I can't wait for the next books in the Series (Ranieri Andretti Novella and Bastiano Romano Novel). The narration is really great and easy to listen to. DC Cole has the perfect voice for a mafia romance and I absolutely love his sexy voice. He does, as always, a great job with all the characters's voices. Lacy Laurel had a beautiful, sexy and a soft voice. They are both on my short list of favorite narrators! I really really enjoyed my listening. I'd love to have a detailed map of The Five Syndicates, with the borders. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review. I have read and listen this story! This Series is a gem.

Loved it

Niccolaio Andretti is the second book in the The Five Syndicates series. This mafia romance novel was fast paced, exciting and so engrossing I could not put it down. I loved Asher Black and was so excited for Niccolaio's story which took a different turn I was so not expecting.

Niccolaio and Minka was an interesting pairing yet they suited each. Both having to make sacrifices for the ones they loved, they were complex and flawed we learn so much about their pasts in this story. I did not like Minka in book 1 but after understanding her history I grew to like her. I loved Niccolaio from the start but my heart broke for him in this book.

This story had some twist and turns I did not see coming but which will evoke strong emotions from you, emotions you would not have expected. Parker S Huntington wrecked me in this book but she did put me back together. I loved the family aspect in this novel and the focus placed on forgiveness.

I listened to the audible version of this novel and i loved it.  Lacey Laurel and DC Cole did an amazing job with the story and bringing the characters to life.

I absolutely loved this novel. Worthy of more than 5 stars I would highly recommend this story.

Good Addition to Series

Minka is someone you grew to hate from book one because she is rude and bitchy. Now the script is flipped and you not only forgive her but you are rooting for her. Nico is in hiding because he has a hit on him and she invades his sanctuary. Things get interesting and their lives will forever be changed.

What a story!

Coming off of Asher Black, I could not wait to start this story. But Parker S Huntington has surprised me with this one! It's different from the first one, introducing Niccolaio to us as he is hiding from a hit on his life. Not your typical mafia story, Niccolaio is not the head of the family in control of everything. Minka is a college student, who is looking for her sugar daddy so that she can get her younger sister out of foster care. When these two cross paths, their is insta -lust. The banter between them is sharp, with a flirty undertone. When Minka's safety is compromised by being seen with Niccolaio, he immediately remedies this by taking her in....24/7. Will these two be able to live together, yet keep their relationship platonic? Throw in the history of Nicco and his younger brother Ranieri, the years of Nicco surviving and being taken in by competing families, and the danger Nicco is in, and this suspense filled story had me on the edge of my seat! Huntington has woven this story with danger, passion and finally love and forgiveness with a happily ever after that left me with a huge smile!

This dynamic narrating team of Lacy Laurel and DC Cole left me wanting more! Lacy portrays Minka with just enough attitude to give her a strong feel, but with her voice is able to have an underlying vulnerability so you can feel her worry, pain and love. DC Cole brings out the alpha, protectiveness in Niccolaio from the beginning, wrapping a warm feeling around my heart every time he spoke. Together they gave this book a compelling narration.

Keep it going!

This is a great read/listen. The story perfectly connects to the first book. It is more than just a romance and there is also plenty of romance ;) You will enjoy laughs, blush at the steamy parts, and be on the edge of your seat waiting for what's next! The biggest plus is a strong female lead who is far from perfect and a bit odd at times but makes you want to get up and do something crazy ^_^

DC Cole does it for me

OK, I liked the story and the writing.
DC Cole did a wonderful job narrating this book, he is one of my favourite narrators.
As for Lacy Laurel, I also know her under another made and as soon as l heard her voice I realised I may have a hard time listening to this book in one sitting.
Don`t misunderstand, I like Lacy in the most part, but I do have trouble listening to her in long sittings.
That could be just me, others may enjoy this audiobook far more than I.

I laughed, I gasped, and I cheered!

Audio-book: Narrators - Lacy Laurel and D.C. Cole

Wow! These narrators did a freaking fantastic job of bringing Niccolaio and Minka to full life. They pulled me deeper into the story than I would have been had I simply read the book and I found myself laughing, gasping, and cheering with this hero and heroine via the narrators. The fluctuation of both were perfect and both did an admirable job of vocalizing the opposite sex’ voice. I was fully engaged the entire time.

I loved both main characters as well as all their brokeness. They are each missing a vital chunk out of their lives but while one ignores it and hunts down death, the other fights against it and all the chains it keeps them in. However, once they come together they find the strength to open themselves up to new thoughts, new possibilities and perhaps new love.

This was a rather quick read that never bogged down. The steam is high, the humor light, the secondary characters necessary. It loved the mafia background/connection as it was a bit heavier than some mafia romances I read. Overall, an extremely enjoyable read that I would highly recommend in either ebook or audio.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Good Story

I found this a fairly good story and D.C. Cole’s narration was exceptional, as usual. Unfortunately I struggled with the female narrator. There was just something about her voice that I found difficult to listen to thus it distracted from the story for me and it took me awhile to get through the book. The four stars I have given for performance are for D.C. Cole. I wouldn’t have finished the book if it hadn’t been for him. I see other reviewers enjoyed both narrators so don’t let my opinion discourage you from trying the book....The story really is enjoyable.
