The job at Sunday Orchard was supposed to be temporary. A chance to gain some work experience, to have some fun. I had not expected to be welcomed into a family of gorgeous and weirdly efficient lumberjack-types, or to find purpose in the tiny Vermont town whose claim to fame seemed to be apple-based products and copious amounts of charm. And I most definitely hadn’t expected to fall for Knox Sunday, my grumpy, burly, fifteen-years-older, reluctant roommate, with his infuriating lectures, his hot-as-fire body, his superior attitude - I’ve never been one to put down roots.

Publisher's Summary
Even the best Daddies can’t keep the storms of life away...but they’ll always try.
Morning News Anchor Neil Klein has loved being in love for nearly six months with the best kind of “Daddy” ever - his boyfriend and bodyguard, Brody Johnson. Sassy as ever, Neil keeps his man busy at work and even busier at home. And Brody wouldn’t have it any other way. Love has made both their lives complete. Seriously, things couldn’t be better.
Except their idyllic life is about to face its first storm...literally. A tropical El Niño storm is headed toward San Diego, but they’re prepared. A surprise visit from Brody’s family is tense but doable. The real storm cloud ruining their week is that Neil’s stalker appears to be at it again. Brody will have to be prepared for anything to keep Neil safe and happy during the worst week ever.
This is a 31,000-word novella, the second in the News Boy trilogy. Watch out for cranky old men, a little who’s really a middle, and a prudish dog who won’t let anyone have fun. You’ll probably catch yourself giggling out loud, but what else can you expect from a Susan Hawke book?

Daddy loves a good boy who behaves
Sassy, snarky boys are my favorite and Susi Hawke has done it again with this amazingly sweet, funny and sassy new series.
Neil is a famous anchor who speaks his mind. His morning show was extremely popular and his comments make the audience either love him or the him. That is until one unlucky day on which his comment on the show made a convicted felon extremely angry. Brody is a retired ranger who’s trying to cope with the society again after being deployed overseas and facing some horrible experiences. And his first job? To babysit a sassy, bratty anchor who runs his mouth wolf. How hard can it be to babysit a brat like that?
I have read many little books but it’s rare to see a book with a middle in it. I love how Neil and Brody didn’t get into their roles right away. There is an adjustment and compromises from both sides but they managed to find a right path for us. Neil is just too adorable being a middle and I love how firm and protective daddy Brody is. Plus, the kittens are just soooo adorable. I wish this was longer. Micheal Dean also did a magnificent job narrating this story. Loved it.

Neil and Brody's Age-Play Romance Continues
The second book in the 'News Boy' trilogy, 'Storm Front', is a direct sequel to Book 1 and will be greatly enhanced by listening to/reading the first book prior to this one. I requested and received an ARC of 'Storm Front', and since it continues Neil and Brody's story, I decided to listen to Book 1 first. Both books tell a sweet, short chapter of a 'middle' and his Daddy's life together.
In Book 2, Neil has been living in a dream with boyfriend and Daddy, Brody. Stress arrives in the form of a real-life severe storm and the figurative storm of meeting Brody's father and brother. Is Brody prepared to sooth his boy's heightened anxiety and outbursts?
As with Book 1, Neil is completely adorable when in middle-mode. Both adult-Neil and middle-Neil are a little sassy and a lot funny. I got some good chuckles in this story. My favorite scenes involve Neil explaining age-play, why he likes it and what he gets from it, to Brody's father. Susan Hawke does a wonderful job incorporating this information into the structure of the fictional story for the readers. It's a really well-done story and I look forward to Book 3.
I consider Michael Dean to be among the best narrators in this genre. His superb voice talent is on great display in this story.
This voluntary post contains my honest opinion of "News Boy: Storm Front".

Neil & Brody
Love seeing these characters again and seeing how they're doing. It's been a few months since Neil and Brody got together and it's great to see how well they're doing. This story has them dealing with a big storm, unexpected family visits, and mysterious gifts. Great watching them wade through everything together and seeing that they can truly weather any storm as long as they're together! The narrator did a great job with the characters and the story and I can't wait for their next story! I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audio book.

If you're a fan of Hawke you know it's going to be a light fun story and she doesn't disappoint but what makes this great is the narration. Dean normally does a great job but this one for me he just made it that much better! Neil and Brody are still wonderful!!!!
I absolutely loved this addition to the News Boy Trilogy!!! Brody's father is amazing and I love how the big storm is not actually the storm that comes in but dealing with life as their relationship progresses. I can't wait for the third book in this trilogy to come out. Susan Hawke writes stories that just keep me coming back time after time, I'm not sure she could write something that I wouldn't read and of course Michael Dean nailed the narration!!

Nice series continuation
I enjoyed seeing Brody and Neil in their daily lives. Too often stories end and you can imagine the couple together, but it is nice to see them dealing with things like visits from relatives (love Brody's dad!), job stresses with the storm bearing down and a nice addition of the mystery element popping back up in the form of the returned stalker. Michael Dean captured the moods and emotions perfectly. You feel the heat between Brody and Neil, the stresses and their love in his performance.

Such a great continuation to Neil & Brock's story!
This was such a sweet, fun, feel-good story with just a touch of suspense to keep things interesting. Neil and Brock are pretty much settled into their relationship and I just adored seeing them together, they're just so perfect in their respective roles as middle boy and his daddy. I also loved Brock's father and the way he accepted his son's new relationship. -- Michael Dean did such a fantastic job with the audiobook. He has the perfect voice for Neil in both of his personas and his Brock is to die for. I'm amazed that he always does such a great job in every single book I listen to him narrate. Very recommendable!

A must hear!
I love audiobooks as a mean to reread my favorite books so when this book was converted to audio became a must hear for me. I enjoyed a lot how Neil and Brody's story continued and how we get to see another step in their relationship. Again, Neil sweetness and Brody protectiveness are the motor of the plot, but Pops and Flash definitely stole mi heart. A perfect addition to the series! Specially with the wonderful narration Mr Dean achieved that encompassed the emotions the author managed in the book. His charismatic voice, acting skills and performance in general mirrored the amazing job Ms Hawke is making on this series complementing each other beautifully. Loved it!

A great follow up
Take 1 news anchor, 1 bodyguard, 1 grumpy old ex-marine, a flouffy mother and 2 dogs and you have a story.
Neil Klein is a "middle".He likes to bring out the young boy in himself. His "daddy" Brody protects him , just like he did when crazy neighbour Dylan kidnapped him.
This time around Dylan is locked away or so they thought. Neil is receiving flowers and odd notes. Add to tbis a visit from Brody's Dad Jim and a super storm caused by El Nino is set to make things ten times worse.
I loved Jim, although a snarky old codger , his heart is in the right place. He really gets to know Neil and they become fast friends.
This is a novella by Susan Hawke and you can always rely on a Susan Hawke story to hit the spot.
As always it was read by the amazing Michael Dean who always brings a story to life for me.

love the story
News Boy: Storm Front is the second book in the News Boy series by Susan Hawke. This story is a MM age play story. I love the story of Brody and Neil. I was so glad when Susan Hawke said she was going to do a sequel and it was so good.
I liked the narrator. He did a really good job. Really liked this story this second time by listening to it instead of

Stormy times
A great second part with cock blocking dogs, family visits and a big storm all adds to the fun in this book. I really enjoyed the first book and this one is just as good and has the same sass and bratty-ness. Micheal Dean makes this book so great.
