Davey’s Rule #85: Daddy will always treat his boy like he's Daddy’s world…because that’s how it should be!
This 258k bundle includes the first four books from this best-selling series loosely centered around Davey - a guy on the search for a perfect Daddy…and the insane list of rules he makes along the way. Each book begins with Davey on a not-so-perfect date that ends after the perspective Daddy breaks three rules he didn’t know existed. Each failed date goes on to find his own perfect match and often with Davey’s help, whether they want it or not.
Rules to Follow
Davey’s college roommate shows up on his doorstep after leaving an abusive relationship. This is Travis and Adam’s story. While Adam rediscovers his own strength while accidentally finding love in the arms of someone he never knew he wanted - a perfect, nurturing Daddy-type who will love him unconditionally.
Rules to Break
After taking a bet right out of Pygmalion and My Fair Lady, disciplinarian-type Daddy Bryan has ninety days to turn Preston - a bratty diva - into a polite guy that anyone would want to date. Bryan isn’t looking for a relationship while Preston wants to find true love. This should be a simple ninety-day bet with no problems, right?
Rules for Santa
Homeless, unemployed, and with no family who cares, Cameron Evans doesn’t dare wish for his holiday dreams to come true. All hope seems to be lost until he’s swept off his feet by the perfect Santa Daddy, who wants to show him what it’s like to have a Daddy who only wants to spoil a sweetie like him.
Rules for Growing
Established couple Landon and Mikey unexpectedly find the missing piece they weren’t even looking for when a lonely “pup” stumbles into their lives.
This is the first of a two-volume set of bundles containing this complete series about not-so-perfect Daddies, adorable “boys”, and one sassy brat with an insane list of rules. Grab your fan and tissues, because this series comes with both a high heat advisory and all the squishy feels you’d want from Susan Hawke’s books.

Travis and Adam were a terrific introduction to this series. I admired Adam's strength as he leaves his violent ex and makes his own way in a new life. He wants and needs to stand on his own feet but he's also smart to accept the help of those around him. Travis is the epitome of a caretaker. He desperately wants to make Adam's life smoother, removing obstacles and problems. I liked that he stands aside until Adam asks, letting Adam dictate the stride of their relationship.
The side characters are a bonus; especially drama king Davey. The view of so many different types of relationships in the club kept Travis and Adam's unique as opposed to cliche.
RULES TO BREAK
Preston's change from a spoiled child to a caring thoughtful adult was a wonderful journey. Bryan's changes, while not as dramatic, were just as noteworthy. I liked that Preston owned his misbehavior, willingly took his punishments, and acknowledged that he deserved them. I liked, even more, that Bryan acknowledged his own screwups and didn't hesitate to not only fix them but to apologize. Preston gains friends and a real family as he tames his out-of-control behavior and lets people see the real person he is inside. His friendship with Bronson showed him at his best and made me proud of him.
RULES FOR SANTA
Lots of super sweet moments. Scott's first sighting of Cameron puts him instantly into protective mode. Cameron's had it tough but he manages to fall into the right lap. Poor Davey watches his father choose his own 'boy' and is not impressed by having to listen to them be in love. The horror of knowing anything about his dad's romantic life makes him shudder and gave me a few laughs I do like the steps Davey takes to make sure his father and Cameron come together and make it the best Christmas for all of them.
RULES FOR GROWING
I so enjoyed that we get to see Landon and Mikey inter into a new relationship. I adore that they are a long-established couple that are deeply satisfied with their relationship. Meeting Chris brings them a new element to consider and I was impressed that they openly communicate about all the elements of each step long before taking any. Chris obviously needs to find his place and is just as surprised to find how perfectly they all fit together as Mikey and Landon are. As much as I've enjoyed getting to know Mickey, learning about Michael was enlightening. I loved that Landon fills the role of Master and Daddy, allowing Mikey and 'Tofur' to be their alternative selves while home.
Highly recommended author and series
Audiobook: Clear and smoothly told.

It was very convenient to get all of these books together like this. Book 1-4 are in this volume.
As you get to know all the characters in this series, you almost can’t wait until Davey’s book which is in volume 2.
My fave in this bundle was Preston and Bryan. The narration really captures the brattiness of Preston. Truly enjoyable!
Love that these come in a bundle

I have a question for the author. Could the different roles be associated with Cosplay? Just curious.
Excellent story

I definitely felt like the narration and voice given to each character matched who they were. Strong, dominant voices for the daddies and softer, gentler voices for the boys. And each one relatively unique. You never really got lost in a conversation as to who was speaking.
I was surprised by how much I didn't like Davey. I know he's a major character in this series with a strong personality, but it was different to hear versus reading. The bratty-ness does soften with each book as he grows and matures with the stories, but he's not my favorite.
I loved the slight accent given to Chris. It's specifically mentioned in the story and it was nicely done.
I only had two criticisms with the narration. Travis tended to have a pause before each term of endearment which tended to pull you from the narration. And I'm very sensitive to any speaking inflections (ex, a slide while talking) and while not all the time, it did pop up occasionally with certain characters. That's just a personal preference that I find annoying.
But overall, I enjoyed listening to these characters come to life, and look forward to listening to the next bundle.
Great narration to a great series
