SWEET & SIMPLE ROMANCE

NEW YEAR REVELATION is the second book in the Kismet Bay series. Though each will stand on its own, it is much better to read them in the order of release. You’ll understand the town better that way.

This is a sweet and simple romance. Since it’s a very short story (about 45 minutes on audible), the author –wisely – didn’t try to throw too much into this story of unrequited love. It was a satisfying and enjoyable listen as I folded a load of laundry (true story LOL).

Narration: The narrator, Carly Kincaid, has a pleasant voice.

Note: While I received this book as a gifted audiobook copy via Audiobooks Unleashed, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Nash and Leilia

This was a quick fun read. Nash has always been in love with Leilia. He wanted to tell her how he felt when he overhears her talking about spending New Year's eve with another man. Leilia goes out with the other man but ends up leaving him at the party and going to Nash's home where Nash is drunk. Will they end up together?

Carly Kincaid did a good job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

New Years in Kismet Bay

The love that Nash feels for Leilia has always been there. He just couldn’t tell her. When his secret comes out, will it drive them apart or bring them closer together?

Dawn Brower has a way with writing lovable characters and touching stories. Carly Kincaid’s narration added to the story.

Love in Kismet Bay!

I have loved listening to the others in this series and this one was no different. I love that they have been best friends for their whole life. The way they come together was great and glad to see them get a HEA. Carly Kincaid did a great job.

Nice, cute and sweet

Cute short and sweet, nice plot, sweet characters

The narrator didn’t do to bad a job, needs a little more emotion, and to slow down a little. There was a little emotion just not enough for me to buy into the passion. No repeating of words, no volume change, it was a very clear audio.

Ho Hum … Little to It

This is the second book of this author's Kismet Bay series, and I wasn't wild about the first one mainly because the narrator did such a poor job that it was hard for me even to parse the story. At least, the author has changed narrators for this book, so I could at least understand the story better. But, as the story is well under an hour long in audiobook form, there's not really much to it. It's definitely low angst, but frankly, little happens. Ho hum. It left little impression.

I received a promo code for this audiobook, but that did not affect my review.
