Meeting him was a complete and utter surprise, taking me completely off guard. I met new people every single day in my line of work, and none of them affected me. Isn't that just the way of things? You could meet a thousand people, and they'd all mean nothing to you, but then you'd meet that one and they suddenly meant everything.

I was a self-professed workaholic. When did making yourself your number-one priority become such a horrible thing? I wasn't entirely sure, but I learned fairly quickly after my last breakup that men don't like being second on a woman's priority list. And they seemed to be intimidated by a motivated female, calling me things like hard to handle, challenging, and difficult.

Being single seemed to work best for me, and I didn't plan on changing my relationship status anytime soon.

But then I met Cal.

And he f***ing ruined everything.

wonderful read

This story crept into my heart. It shows the fears people have about relationships and makes you feel the question and the answers in your heart. The book drags you in!

Good old fashioned luv

In the war for some authors to top the taboo, it was a very nice break to read a good old fashioned love story.

J Sterling made the emotions come to life and I was so amazed by how I was transported back to my first heartbreak and the feelings that came along.

Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon were gold. Erin is one of my all time favs and Jason is quickly moving up in the ranks.

I liked this one. Jason and Erin together again.

I thought Jason Clarke was very good and as usual Erin Mallon was excellent. She really is one of the best narrators that can take a so so story and turn it around. This story was very ok but Erin was better. I did enjoy this one and would recommend it.

This was such a roller coaster of emotions… story had realistic elements that made the story worth listening to.

Long distance and longing ❤️ 🛫💙💵

This is wonderfully read by both performers. I highly recommend this audiobook. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars across the board is it was a bit slow at times. I understand how the author has to build the relationship between Cal and Jules, but it dragged a bit at the beginning. Totally worth pushing through.

They have a great first meeting and they are both interesting characters. Her pain at his rejection is felt deeply. The way the author has him go radio silent in the written book worked well for the audiobook. Seeing Jules work through her emotions was heartbreaking at times. It was very well done.

A good example of how bad decisions can be forgiven if people own them. Worth the listen!

A Bit Whiny in the Middle but good

The narration was great! The story was mostly good but got a bit whiny and repetitive in the middle. Good ending, although it could have been more spectacular in general.

Great story! I couldn’t put it down. I loved the characters. As usual, Jason and Erin provide an excellent performance. This author is now one of my favorite. I definitely recommend this book for all who love romance.

Loved it!

Great storyline with characters with flaws that were real but not so dark you needed therapy after the book. Enjoyed the setup for a realistic ending and the true fight for reconciliation. I hope Tam has a book.
