I was extremely attracted to Dax, and by that time, I was falling hard. Eventually, I’d find out why he’d been so aloof, the reason why he and I could never be together.

Our story was supposed to end there, but it didn’t. Instead, I was left perpetually longing for a forbidden man.

My Heart

I love that this book didn't feel like something I had listened to before, these characters where wonderful and their story pulled at my heart. I loved that this was also a love story that brought together a brother and a sister and they got the family they never thought they would have. That really tugged at my heart. The narration duo of Sebastian York and Andi Arndt is always a winner and this did not disappoint at all.

Cute story

Loved Sebastian and Andi’s narration. They always make the book. Story had some surprises and twists. Always nice when that happens and the storyline isn’t so predictable. I would t say I was blown away but a solid story that I enjoyed.

Slow Burn

I was engrossed in this book from the start. Dax and Wren are alive story that unfolded with all the love you would expect from Penelope Ward. Andy and Sebastian are excellent at bringing the story to life. This book is worth the credit.

Worth the credit

This is an interesting story with some unexpected twists. While there is instant chemistry between the characters, no one acts on it. Their relationship is a slow burn throughout the book and worth every moment.

Wonderful Love

This was a great story about love and not being able to control who your heart wants.

I really like that Dax and Wren tried their best to stay apart for Rafe, but then again you can’t help who you love. There were times when they both got on my nerves with the things they did, but both did end up growing during their journey to HEA.

Emotional, Forbidden, Great Love Story

Penelope Ward does it again with a story that is filled with a range of emotional paths and her incredible ability to seamlessly toss in a major plot twist. This time there are several! Character development is excellent as you come to know Moody, Wren & Rafe, as well as the other key players. Penelope’s writing is so deliciously descriptive, painting scene after scene. This is easily a one sitting read or listen anticipating what will happen next! Loved it!!!

Sebyo and Andie are so great as Moody & Wren conveying all their emotions and inner dialogue to perfection!

BRAVO

I love Penelope Ward books and this one is now one of my top favorites. Between Penelope’s written words and Sebastian’s and Andi’s presentation of the story the winning combination was a certain. This is a story I will listen to over and over.

IN LOVE!!!

I AM SERIOUSLY INLOVE WITH THIS BOOK!!! SO IN LOVE WITH PENELOPE WARD SERIES SOOO FAR!!! Was shocked with some of the events that arise. Wish there would’ve been a longer ending. But can’t wait to read the next Penelope Ward book. Highly recommend stepbrother dearest along with neighbor dearest.

L😍VE!!

Amazing story with great Narrators. I love all things Andi Arndt, she's my fav. This story was well written and had me from start to finish. Loss, family, love and life's roadblocks. How two people can overcome these things and find a way to be together. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved it.

Never disappoints!

Once again Penelope Ward has given me a storyline to match my desired dreams. I am sad it has ended but look forward to her next book!
