Best audiobook for counselors

This is by far the best NCMHCE audiobook on the market! It’s quite detailed and many hours in length and covers every detail of what is required for test day – with extra goodies. Don’t purchase any other audiobook, they are not worth the credit, or the time compared to what the Davidson’s have produced.

Excellent Study Tool

The counselling scenarios given in this audiobook are suburb. Very realistic case studies that mirror that of the actual exam. From treatment planning and diagnosis, it covers the full spectrum of what is required study for the NCMHCE.

Concise, informative,well organized and easy to listen to. I would reccomnd utilizing this study guide and will be listening to it again.

More than enough

This audio study guide can stand as an all-inclusive manual for those wanting to achieve the NCMHCE. You may not even need your textbooks to the same extent yes, it’s that good. Very comprehensive and detailed with superb narration, makes this audio study guide a game changer!

No sound on a part

From 1:40:00 to 1:44:31 there is no sound but background buzzing and then it picks back up but so much content was missed out on this section. That part needs to be redone . I need it for my notes please.

Superb quality

The narrator did an excellent job in giving great emotion and pace of the content. This level of counseling is quite technical and complex, so having a human narrator that knows the material with proper pace and cadence, is essential. 5 Stars.

Great asset for counselors

This audiobook is very comprehensive at over 15 hours – it covers all the essentials for the NCMHCE test. In particular the practice test questions are immediately followed by the correct answers and also explanations into why some other answers may be incorrect – which is essential for an audiobook format.

Not the best resource

This book is lacking in the coverage of multiple assessments. This book only covers a handful of assessments. This book is lacking diagnostic criteria for children. This book is lacking appropriate case scenarios. This book provides an overview, but it’s functionality is fairly limited in practical application for testing.

Really poorly done

There are entire sections and minutes of the audio that are just blank! How could you publish this?! Don’t go here if you’re looking for a study source. Go to the DSM-5 TR Study Guide by Reese. Better money spent there.
