Publisher's Summary

When Houston reporter Lucy Resnick cashes in her retirement to buy her grandmother's farm in Buttercup, Texas, she's looking forward to a simple life as a homesteader. But Lucy has barely finished putting up her first batch of Killer Dewberry Jam when an oil exploration truck rolls up to the farm and announces plans to replace her broccoli patch with an oil derrick. Two days later, Nettie Kocurek, the woman who ordered the drilling, turns up dead at the Founders' Day Festival with a bratwurst skewer through her heart and one of Lucy's jam jars beside her...and the sheriff fingers Lucy as the prime suspect.

Horrified, Lucy begins to talk to Nettie's neighbors, but the more she gets to know the townspeople, the more she realizes she's not the only one who had a beef with Nettie. Can she clear her name, or will her dream life turn into a nightmare?

i want more of this

Would you consider the audio edition of Killer Jam to be better than the print version?

This was a funny, easy listening and very entertaining story. I want more of these books on here! She captured my attention and kept me guessing until the end.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Killer Jam?

Killer in the Jam tent.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It took me a few days, who can sit for 5 or more hours to listen?

I listened to this cozy on a whim and was unexpectedly blown away. A great plot and an amazing story with colourful, country characters that made me chuckle. Definitely one of my favourite cozies.

Fairly good

This was a fairly good story. I listened to the end. The reader could have been a little better. Lots more books to listen to before I would listen to the second in the series.

SUCH FUN!

Loved everything about this book! This was my first "cozy" mystery via audiobook and it will not be my last. I listen to audiobooks during my commute and this sure made my drive a lot more fun and time flew by. I am often put-off by a woman doing male voices, but Teri Clark Linden was awesome! I am so looking forward o the second in this series. The mystery was not overly difficult to solve, but it was great fun following the characters and seeing what life is like in Buttercup TX.
