[Contains explicit content] In the thrilling finale of Melissa Lopez's podcast, the truth of Anna Winslow's mysterious death is finally revealed. Melissa's investigation comes to a dramatic conclusion as she confronts those involved, but with no hard evidence, will those she believes to be guilty avoid justice?
And is the truth worth revealing, when her own life is at risk? Melissa believes so. But if that truth were to haunt us all, is it a truth we want to hear?
The basic story of this Audible drama is that a young British girl named Anna Winslow disappears after what seems like a psychotic break in the middle of a lecture at the college. Melissa Lopez, who is our main character and narrator, receives a voicemail from Anna on the night before she disappears. This basically prompts Melissa to find out what happened to Anna Winslow.
I can't give too many details, because each "episode" of this story has details and even giving one detail might ruin it for the listener. I will say this: IT WAS CRAZY! Absolutely one of the best audio dramas I've ever heard. Maybe even the best. I put four stars, but it really merits a 3 1/2, which is still a great score from where I am concerned. If we're talking about just audio dramas, I'd give this story an A, no question; however, since I'm combining it with books I've read/listened to, it will get a solid B from me. As far as the voice actors, I'm going to give all of them an A-. If the woman who performed Melissa wasn't such a huge focus of the story, then I would have given her less. I'm not positive on this, but I'm pretty sure that she's British in real life, while Melissa Lopez is American. I would notice things said like "she saw" would be pronounced "she sawr." Basically, things that would barely be able to be caught by most. However, she was incredible in everything else, so I can't fault her too much.
If you're an Audible member, listen to this! If you're not, I believe you can purchase the episodes for like $1 and some change. So, for the whole thing, you'd pay around ten dollars. It's definitely worth it!
An enjoyable and intriguing story. Unsettling at times and once started had to finish it.
