Critic Reviews

"The modern master of the hook and plot twist, luring you in on the first page only to shock you on the last." (Dan Brown)
"Harlan Coben is a folk poet of the suburbs and his well-tuned new mystery, Don't Let Go shows why... this kind of writing is what we call poetry." (New York Times)

Don't Let Go

Although I enjoyed this book and the story, did not find it as good as the last one. Still a recommended book to read.

Coben continues to deliver.

Harlan Coben is one of my favourite authors. This is another fast paced, entertaining reads with one hell of a twist. You won't be disappointed.

The plot was interesting and easy to follow. I liked the characters and the relationships and dialogue.

Going through the motions?

Good narration but another dud from the author (Who has written some good ones too)

Got the impression that it was written half-heartedly and was just going through the motions. Started quite promisingly but then just didn't really go anywhere and I was actually relieved when it finished.

Ultimately very good

I’m not the biggest fan of this narrator and that maybe clouded my view, making this story feel a little slow at points. However, it’s well written overall and ends satisfactorily.

A bit to contrived and twisted for me

I love Harlen Coben and have read many of his books and will probably continue to do so. However, the ending of this book seemed to be so twisted and contrived it made me a little cross. The writing is as good as ever and the narrator added to the enjoyment.

Awful

Sentimental clap trap. Almost no story and shallow characters. Was this really Harlan Coben? Poor

Seems like a very rushed idea for his book!

I was not impressed with the story at all. This is coming from a Harlan fan. It was just not good enough and definitely not to his standard. I loved his quite recent book Home. The narration was great. The story however extremely predictable and simply nothing special!

not his best work

Mildly entertaining, but not a patch on most of his work. The characters were hollow and the story not gripping enough.

One of his best

Some times one thinks, just get to the end. NEVER with this book. Captivating all through!

Such poor confusing narration that I haven't been able to listen to it! Very unimpressed cos I usually love Harlan Conan books!

Formulaic pageturner

I found this very hard to get into purely because of the voiced characters; in particular the women, who all sounded airy and a bit stupid. Even single words were elongated to add unnecessary stress. But once I got past the voice performance, which took me half a book to stop cringing, I settled into Coban’s smart patter and waited for the usual twist. So I eventually enjoyed it. But it wasn’t easy!
