Publisher's Summary

From the author of Alaska Wild comes a standalone romantic suspense that will leave you breathless. Scorching romance, edge-of-your seat tension, and a hero and heroine you'll root for all the way. Grab your copy, stat!

Doctor Dominic Corrigan. He's tattooed, cocky, and gorgeous, with bullet scars from working in war zones. I'm a geeky surgeon who hides away in the quiet of her operating theater. We couldn't be more different but from the second we meet, he pursues me...and when I look into those blue eyes, I'm lost. But I know his reputation and I'm determined not to be his next one-night stand. Then disaster strikes our small town...and the two of us become our patients' only hope.

Suddenly, I'm thrown into the chaos of an ER stretched to breaking point. We need to work together but the closer we get, the harder it is to resist. We're one look, one touch away from tearing each other's clothes off. I start to see the pain he hides behind that cocky exterior. What happened to this man, and can I help him break free of his past? And our problems are only just beginning. A criminal gang means to take advantage of the chaos...and the hospital, and everyone I care about, are right in their sights.

Standalone romantic suspense, guaranteed HEA, no cheating

Far fetched

This book is so unrealistic. The surgeon in a small town has the skills of a Cardiac surgeon, Ortho, Thoracics and General surgeon. She runs heart lung machines on her own, there is a 5 + ventilators, a ICU and every thinkable service in this small town. She clip “bleeders” of with paperclips and everyone survives every time. She has magic juice that wake up unconscious patients and her people on ventilators are able to speak with a tube through their vocal cords. Then she has time for sex while hypothermic and in extreme chaos. On top of that she is a bomb expert.... it is one disaster on top of the other and everyone is alive and well in the end. To the writer. Please at least give your books to someone in the medical profession to read before you publish none of this is feasible.

Good story. Ending was predictable but good.

I enjoyed listening to the story. a real Irish a cent would have been preferred but they did well with the narration. I enjoyed the story, sweet, believable and left you cheering both characters. I would recommend .

Less sex

Too much on the sex. It is nice to leave more to the imagination. I think it would have flowed better.

Good story!

Loved the passion of the doctors and ER staff. Very sexually explicit! I enjoyed it!

Kinda long and boring

I got bored after awhile. Alaska Wild is better by this author. It’s a read when you have nothing better to do. It was too long

Disappointed

I would not recommend this book. It was too far fetched and everything in the story line happened in the span of a week.

Wow

It's hard to write this review without being rude. This book is so far-fetched, it's like science fiction, but it isn't. The 'shy' girl who isn't shy, the bad guys who were, of course, an alt-right militia. Going out in sub-zero weather in scrubs to perform a superhuman rescue, then walking a couple of miles to find your car, discovering the evil plot, developing hypothermia so badly that you become unconscious, then as soon as the guy removes your pants and rubs your legs you wake up and have sex in the car. All the while, the car wouldn't start, but miraculously, when you get through having sex, it starts!! Not to mention saving every patient, diffusing a bomb, using her adorable little electric car to run ventilators in the hospital after the power goes out, what a woman!! It made me feel like the author has a bad inferiority complex and is using her character to overcome her sense of uselessness. I'll skip the next one by her, but the narration was pretty good!

Unbelievable dramatic BS

What a waste of time! Seriously. I listened to the end just to see what other unbelievable event will happen. Hahahahaha.

Terrible

From the beginning the heroine being a mousy character is wrong, a surgeon cant be one without confidence, a 5 hour surgery wouldnt be as exhausting, that is the average for any surgery, on top of that she runs every department? how could she stop a bleeding artery with paper clips ? Wrong and unrealistic on all aspects

Totally awesome story

This is what books are for fantastic fantasy. The real twisted up with all kinds page turning goodness. But listening to it was great for a little escape. Totally worth the time and didn’t feel long enough which is odd for me because 7 hrs is usually my entire patience for a story but a book that makes me want more is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all the way to me.

it's okay

I'm a sucker for a love story and this being set in a hospital and my love for medical tv dramas left me needing to hear it, it has had me addicted whilst I've listed away unable to put it down however, there were parts that seamed far fetched, unrealistic for such a storyline that has tried so hard to be realistic, it has some sexual content that I wasnt expected but this made me enjoy the book even more, I wouldnt read it again but I'm glad I have read it - even with a big smile on my face at the end :)

Trash

What a waste of time this was. Made it to chapter 4 and sent the book back. Worse than a Mills and Boone.
