Publisher's Summary

Blake Monroe hasn't had the easiest life, but she's never been one to dwell on her misfortunes, preferring to see the world as a place where you get what you give. Having had an especially troubling childhood, Blake's aware she doesn't exactly fit the definition of "normal". Her lack of filter, dry sense of humor, and uncanny ability to read people make her rather unique - and difficult to live with. When her latest roommate has had enough of her antics, Blake decides living with a man might suit her better.

Gavin Gibson's a dreamer whose artsy aspirations don't meet the high expectations of his wealthy family. Cast off and cut off, Gavin needs a place to live. When he's invited to share Blake's quaint apartment, he cannot pass it up. With a knack for spotting the good in others, Gavin can see past Blake's quirks - and neither of them can ignore their sexual chemistry. As sparks fly, their genuine affection for each other grows, and Gavin begins to break down Blake's defenses. But can Blake open up to reveal the damage she's worked so hard to conceal?

Couldn't make it past 4th chapter.

So I really wanted to like this book, I have liked other books in the series...but it just wasn't good...Jacob Morgan of course is amazing as always but just could not get into the female character, a little to off beat for me.

A fun listen

I really like how all of the books in this series can be enjoyed by themselves, it lets you jump around throughout the books. I love these narrators and the energy that they bring to the characters.

Boring

This was one of the most uninteresting listens I think I have ever wasted my time on.

Loved it!

Dang, this was such a great, quick read. The characters are engaging, quirky, and entertaining. The plot flowed well, with a blend of fun, sexy, and emotional all wrapped up in a pretty bow. I loved Blake - how real and unapologetic she is. And I loved how Gavin wasn't phased by her crazy. The two are sweet together, and I found myself cheering for their HEA the whole story. 4.5 stars.
As always, Jacob Morgan's performance was perfect. Sarah McEwan did a fantastic job as well.

A Hoot!

I love the offbeatness of the story. I actually know a few people like Blake. Gavin's voice is great! Sweet story:)

I tried...

I really did try. I made it to Chapter 6 before I had to quit. So not my sense of humor - It's like talking to a 13 yr old and every response is ...ugh ok -
You could tell the narrators actually gave it their all but it didn't save this story.
Sadly I don't like to be such a debbie downer on an authors hard work, but I'll give her kudos for the main heroine acting like a millennial.

Love Blake!

I love quirky, strong and sassy heroines in stories and Blake is definitely up there! The narration was okay- not fabulous but okay.

Meh....

There was a lot of confusion for me in this story. It just didn’t seem to capture my attention and I felt like I just didn’t love the characters. I listened all the way through and enjoyed it, but it wasn’t one of my favorite “Misadventure” books.

Wow

This book was another hit with me. I loved how Blake had no filter. I am loving this series and hope to be to complete the series this year.
