Entertaining and offbeat!

I really enjoyed the narrator. She portrayed the characters well. I would recommend this book for anyone looking for something different in fiction.

Short, Sweet, and funny

Well written and charming alheit in a foul-mouthed kinda way. Loved the main character so much I hated to this little gem end.

Looked into the other books written by this author, however they are all read by my least favorite narrator 🤨 all of her sentences end in a question mark AND an explanation point. Ugh

Everything about this Audible listen was great!

This was a great novel by itself but the narration and performance made it really great! The description made this novel seem kind of weird and not something I wanted to read but after so many people recommended it I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. This is a story about family, love, adventure and confidence.

Fun, light book.

Fun book, fun story, finished it in 2 days. Would recommend it for an escape

Good Laughs

This is not a genre I would typically pick nor a book I thought I’d ever read but I had fun with this. Lots of good laughs, a sweet story, and has some great lessons along the way. Being from Tennessee, I enjoyed those bits as well. Overall I enjoyed it!

An amazing little gem!

Hilarious one minute, heart breaking the next, this is a creative little fire of inspiration! The narrator (Marin Ireland) is perfection, and this novel/parable speaks volumes about the state of our society right now: money covers one's sins, and debauches our humanity... but the heart on fire finds a way. I can't recommend this enough! Hold on tight because when you read this, you get the ride of a lifetime!

Sneaks Up on You

Don't review much but want to recommend to like minded listeners. Contemporary and timeless. Unique protagonist - tough and soulful woman deprived of unconditional love; frustrating obsessive who undergoes lovely transformation. Terrific story emerges layer by layer. Clever and funny. Narration is out of this world! Finally, thought it might be a one trick pony after a couple of chapters but adamently not the case.

Different and so good!

I really, really enjoyed this book so much. The narrator’s voice was perfect for it. It was funny and touching and honest, for as odd as the premise seemed and just so very enjoyable. My favorite listen in a while.
