Another entertaining adventure!

Wow, this series has been such a surprise! I expected the same ole military romance; boy I was wrong. This group of emotionally damage people, are fascinating and funny. In my opinion, this series centers around this groups adventures (missions) and includes a side of romance.

If you’re looking for a traditional romance, you’ll likely be disappointed, but if you just want an entertaining listen that will make you laugh, one second, and have you crying, the next, this might just, hit the spot. However, be aware that there is a lot of brutal violence, including torture, so if violence turns your stomach, you might want to choose another series.

As for me, I’m downloading the next book, in this series.

Enjoyable series

I enjoyed this series by Elle Kennedy. The banter between the characters is juvenile yet totally believable. The story line keeps you guessing what will happen next.

Love this book, like all of the books in the series. Watch out the characters go through many live altering events.

A heart racing romantic thriller

I love the characters and the storylines, however, she’s writing in less and less sex/ love scenes. I think the main characters only went all the way once, the secondary characters went at it several times. I started reading/listening to her because she wrote very hot books, this one was just sensual. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great story but I expected more hotness, this was more like a Johansen book.

The cradle robbing was a stretch

I had to forgive a lot in the beginning, as Juliet kept calling him ‘kiddo’ and thinking about how young he was. For Pete’s sake, he was 25 to her 31. Also, to this author, if a woman is a warrior, it means she’s emotionally unavailable and prickly beyond belief. Every woman on Team Noelle was fronting big time and it made it difficult to root for their romance.

However, this romance at least featured Ethan, who had his head, and attitude, on straight. With half of the couple being upbeat and rational, I enjoyed the romance. The sex was still pretty stingy. I think this installment actually had more ‘just sex’ action between the supporting characters than there was between the MCs.

Random observations:
A minor annoyance was all the cigarette smoking. Blech.
This installment featured some extended torture scenes.
