Publisher's Summary

My name is Lucian Quinn, and I own one of the most successful software companies in the world. Impressive, right? I'm also a favorite target for every hungry socialite looking to land the uncatchable catch. Maybe it sounds vain, but the fact that I'm a god between the sheets doesn't hurt my stock any. What these women don't know, though, is that I'm completely screwed up and damaged beyond repair by my past. But then I meet her....

I'm Lia Adams, and I'm in my last year at St. Claire's University in North Carolina. I'm so close to escaping from my past and making my dreams come true. I'll do anything necessary to survive, even work as an escort to help pay for my college expenses. The men that I accompany to various events as an escort for date night are mostly harmless and just want an attractive woman on their arm for an evening. It has never gone further than that...until him.

Great listening

I enjoyed this final audiobook in this trilogy very much. The story continued as Lucian and Lia deal with an unexpected pregnancy and work their way through their past. Lia's father Lee becomes a part of her life and offers her a job. Meanwhile, an ugly surprise from Lucian's past rears its head, endangering everything they have built together.

Questions from Lucian’s past are finally answered!

This final book, in the trilogy, finally addresses the unanswered questions from his past. Of course, this happens because the nightmares from his past try to destroy his future. Near tragedy is narrowly avoided and the plots of the coming novels are put into motion. There is less humor and more tear jerking, in this final book. Unfortunately, most of the HEA is handled during an epilogue and ,therefore, seems rushed. Overall, this trilogy has been an enjoyable listen and since it is included in the Escape Package, there is little risk in giving it a shot. -V from Kansas

Great read

This has been one amazing series so far. I have loved Lucian and Lia’s story. This is not a standalone so if you have not read any of the pervious book you will want to do that now. I did listen to this through whispersync. I have book 4 and 5 bought but am waiting for the audios to be released before I read them.. Have audio 4 on preorder.LOL I am wondering if she will be doing an audio of book 5 as well.

It just seems like Lucian and Lia can not get a break. One bad thing after another keep happening. One thing for sure is that Cassie is the center of all their problems. I do not care that Cassie is mentally ill, I can not stand the woman and hate Cruella aka Monique as well.

As we know by book 2 Lucian had messed up. He did not tell Lia about her biological father, Lee Jacks. Now here Lia is knowing the truth and wanted all secrets to come out. Which means he will have to tell her about Cassie. This has to be extremely hard for him. This is a subject he does not talk about.

I love how Lucian and Lia let everything that life throws out them make them stronger. Lia is truly what Lucian needs in this life and for her he realizes he needs to face his demons including his white powder addiction.

I looked at Lucian in a different light in this book. In book one I saw him weak but in this book two I saw how strong he was and how willing to do everything for Lia. He loved her deeply and was willing to except that and put a label on it.

There is so much that happens in this book. There is love, hate, forgiveness, loss, fear, and happiness bliss. I loved all of Lucian and Lia’s friends Rose is a spit fire that I find interesting and can not wait to see what happens between her and Max. Max is a devoted friend as well but scared of love. Lucian sees so much of himself in Max. Aidan is like a brother to Lucian and is happy for his happiness. Aidan will got through a lot in this book but I will leave it at that. Debra and Martin are truly amazing and happy Lia had them in her life. Lia’s father Jack i grew to love. He is a father she can be proud to have. He cares about her deeply. Hope to see a future book dedicated to just him. Fae, Sam, and Cindy were awesome as well. This was truly an amazing read.

Great Series!

I loved this series. I grew to love all the characters but especially Lucian & Lea. I thought the author did a great job developing all the characters. Worth a credit.

Decent conclusion to Lucian and Lia

Although I wished there was an epilogue, I know it wasn’t included because the series continues with Rose and Aidens story. The best book in the series was the first but the author did a really good job getting the reader really invested in the side characters too.

Story: Good; Narration: Bad

The story is potentially great, although I’m not a fan of the cliff hanger endings between books, however the narration leaves a lot to be desired. Lucy Malone has very little range between voices and doesn’t bring much to the story. However, in comparison to her counterpart, she is the top performer. Sean Crisden has a very nice speaking voice and enunciates clearly (as does Lucy), however he has the emotional range of someone reading stereo instructions. His voices for women are terrible! But the worst is his main characters voice. He couldn’t clearly voice the emotion behind a paper cut let alone all the drama in this story. It really took a lot away from a really enthralling story. And that says a lot coming from me, since I have no problem listening to an automated text to speech of a book on my kindle.

This book was a little to cheesy

The last two books focused too much on the secondary characters, so that the reader would buy the books about Aiden and Rose. I am going to skip them because they probably will focus on other secondary characters.

So good

This book is very good and the narrator is also good. I smiled and cry while this story unfolded.

Sappy.

All in all it was a dismal failure of a wrap up to a series. This final book was so sappy it was nauseating. Don't bother with it, stop after book 2 and just let your imagination write the 3rd.
