This came at a time when I was finishing up my first seminary degree. I was studying and preparing to be ordained as a pastor in my denomination, and I felt like of all things to focus on, I really needed to know what Jesus actually said. I still think that it's so important to come back to these words time and time again, to focus on these teachings, to practice applying them to our lives.
