Utterly Intolerable Music
Why the producer of this very useful book would choose to bury the information beneath such sonically annoying, rapidly looping music is completely beyond my understanding. The cloying, high-pitched piano notes? Mixed so loud that you cannot even hear the WORDS being read? Whyyyyy?? The beautiful, meditative synth chords in the track, familiar to people who meditate with music, would have been just fine, even helpful in absorbing the content of this instructive piece - but no, they had to layer a loop of TEN loud piano notes over the soft, relaxing chords that grate against the inside of my brain and make it completely impossible to absorb anything this man is saying. "Dun, Dun, DUN, Dundundundun, Dun, Dun, DUN" over and over and over again *for the entire book*. There is so much meditation music in the world and I don't think any of it sounds like this! Forgive my palpable frustration. I am a person who is in a financially insecure place right now and trying to make investments in myself in order to be best able to help my family and others in the world. I feel like this information could really help me and I wistfully read all the reviews of others it has helped. I am autistic and sensitive to harsh noises and am just shocked that I've encountered a sensory barrier to valuable information that I purchased because the traditions of meditative music were subverted in favor of a truly incomprehensible sonic choice.
