thank you.

I enjoyed listening to this book. I started listening when I had a very long commute. i finished days later with only listening when I drove. I heard some things that kept me processing the message through out the day.

Fundamental book for achievers

Great book providing radically different perspective compared to media. It gave me a fresh view how to look on my life and what I want to achieve. I will never look at masters the same way and I want to become one!

Great read for martial artists

Loved the book just wasn't a big fan of the narrator. His voice seemed robotic to me.

30 years old

I enjoyed the briefness and simplicity. Many familiar ideas if you’ve read about mastery in more recent books: Journey not destination, resistance, beginner’s mindset, and grit.

Good message, not a fan of the delivery

Resonated with general message but too much law of attraction and Chi talk at end.

Stay humble.

Lots of takeaways from this book. One is in my headline. Another is an observation Ive made my self as a teacher. Fear or looking like a fool can hinder you growth/potential. Ill definitely have to circle back to this book occassionally to get the most out of it. The narrarator did a really good job too!

Very lightweight, no real advice nor deep thoughts

Not sure why people give 5 stars score. It’s very lightweight book. There are merely a thoughts about approach to success then keys.

Would you see the advice to get more sleep as ground breaking news?

Author talks a lot about his Aikido lessons and how you need to practice and be humble to evolve. A bit about his students at flight school when he put more attention to skilled and less to mediocre.

At the end talks through some breathing exercises - pointless.

The only useful thoughts from this 3 hour read is that if you would like to start to master your skills then you need to remember

A) that it takes time to learn an practice and we live in times when adverts, movies etc shows us that it can be achieve almost instantly, which can be demotivating

B) during your way to your mastery you will get stuck and it will take longer chunks of time to move to another level - but there is no advice how to over come those and keep in mind that all the book is like that - lightweight.

Summary: in 1991 it could be not bad book but in 2019 it simply is not good enough.

There is much more useful content in Brian Tracey productions.

Too much 70s hippy kungfu, not enough mastery

Very disappointed. I had heard good things about this book. The first couple of chapters are interesting, but it's quickly evident that he has nothing of value to say.

To spare you buying the book, all you need to know is: "Practice". When you plateau, enjoy it for its own sake, not what it brings. Don't worry, you'll get there.
