The full story!

Book one blurb:
Everyone with the gift is going to the academy. Not me. I'll master magic my own way.

School was a chore. All I wanted was to become a magus, enter the academy, and train my chosen affinity. But I didn't pass the test. They said I didn't have it in me.

Years later, a run-in with a sassy goth mage named Misty revealed I could do magic. Those damn monocle-wearing pseudo-Victorians at the academy locked me out! Screw them.

I'm now illegally training my chaos affinity while working at Misty's magic/videogame store, and I'm getting lost in her rockin' curves in those fishnet stockings.

Things get even more chaotic when a sweet, adorable academy professor walks in. I know I shouldn't date the enemy, but she might know why my magic was hidden.

Meanwhile, a gym-bunny mage-cop discovers the scorched spell marks on our secret training field…

I'm soon left with a choice; continue my fun, chilled-out life at the store, or discover the true extent of my power, and the real reason they feared to enroll me.

A great listing experience

An amazing series that hooks you in the first few minutes and doesn't let you go till the end credits. The characters are relatable and you can see them grow and evolve as the story goes on. It's a good mix of action, spice, and adventure. The narrator has a smooth voice and really brings the characters to life. She does a great job giving each person a different tone and speech pattern so you always know who is talking.

Great series

The only thing to make it better would have been duo narration. Other then that it was good.

Great storyline

This story does with a lot of other books in this genre haven’t, it keeps you engaged. Kirk Mason did a great job crafting This storyline. Not to mention that it feels like something a normal person would do in the situation being that he gets drunk and makes a lot of dumb decisions and the boat got even more fun at the beginning when the MC started matching Misty’s sassiness

Good story but Missing Something....

Narration was amazing and story was good in books one and two ....but third book was a bunching of insecurity and bickering....worthless! Female characters personality throughout the story were strong abilities but weak mind set and so insecure and self doubt in the harem ...thought MC could of been more Masculinity...overall good story for the 1 credit

Great Series

I personally enjoyed this series from the beginning to the end. I felt the characters, the story world and the plot were good. I do feel the story droned on a bit in some spots and flew through others that could have used a bit more detail, but again this series entertained me and that's what I look for and hope for from a book series. I think this was another great story from Kirk Mason and I think fans of this genre would enjoy this story/series as well. I look forward to many more stories like this one from Kirk Mason because I know they will be entertaining.

The narration for this series was done by Savannah Thomas and I have to say I think she did a fantastic job. All of the characters were well done and the story flowed effortlessly through her narration.

sassy friend

The main character wants nothing more than to be a mage, he dreams about it. until one day he meets a sassy shop owner that is a mage. he exchanges his webmaking talent for her help to learn magic. I'm doing that he realizes that he's been blocked by someone. he is capable of much more than he knows. this is a great story love the characters banter and love the performance. I highly recommend this full series for one credit.

Idiot Characters

The first book is well done with interesting character banter and a good plot. Unfortunately the memes run out in the second book and the characters’ self destructive idiocy is the only thing left. The story becomes repetitive scenes of eating too much, drinking too much, and thinking too little.

The voice acting is better than average with little to nitpick. The performance kept me engaged through the main plot arcs end in the second book. The third book is pointless unless you like to listen to losers doing dumb things.
