Good as expected without Lyman voicing it himself

Lyman in himself proves that if an "everyday" can make the connection and go vegan then any man can. He will be remembered as a pioneer of both the ethical and climate Vegan movements.

Mindboggling

Where does Mad Cowboy: Plain Truth from the Cattle Rancher Who Won't Eat Meat rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of the most amazing and influential books I have read to date.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Mad Cowboy: Plain Truth from the Cattle Rancher Who Won't Eat Meat?

Where he talks about when he decided to have empathy for the cows he had lived off of for decades. The leather couch part was really surprising and beautiful.

What about Dave Wright’s performance did you like?

He did a marvelous job of reading the book!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES!!! I was not able to but I read it very fast :)

I am so grateful to Howard and I so look forward to meeting him someday. I hope to bring him to my Spokane VegFest sometime :)

A must read for anyone who eats! Its imperative that we all work together to find out where our food comes from, for the sake of human health and ultimately the planet and all its life.

Life changer

I want to send this book to everyone. It's an amazing insight into our food and how we should respect ourselves and the environment in looking into the food that we eat and support with our wallets and taxes.

The man the dairy industry hates

What made the experience of listening to Mad Cowboy: Plain Truth from the Cattle Rancher Who Won't Eat Meat the most enjoyable?

From a large, corporate dairy man to a vegan. The story of a man's transformation and fight to get the truth out. Its a good listen.

Telling The Hard Truth

Undeniable truth that eating meat is killing us and the earth. Oh and did he mention billions of animals every year? If you think Mr. Lyman is “lying”, read any of the other books recommended after listening to this book and you will be presented with hard, factual, scientific proof from doctors that aren’t in industry’s back pocket. Very good listen.

Interesting thoughts

An eye opening view on a controversial topic. The Mad cowboy makes excellent points and shares very poignant opinions on the meat industry and what it isn’t telling the consumer. My chief complaint about this book would be there are not enough sources sited in the facts stated by this book. The book sometimes seems written more by alarm and anger then a thoughtful argument ( although there is plenty of that as well). Most eaters of animal products will rebuke this book purely for insult they may feel. Either way if you are a person who eats animal products and read this book, perhaps it will inspire you to research on your own.

Crazy

You learn so much throughout this book and it's amazing how little I knew about the industry before hand. This, along with some documentaries, have me really rethinking my diet and beginning the vegan lifestyle. There needs to be something done in this world and it starts with us. Great job!

A real look into what process animals go through from field to fork. Highly recommend it
