Publisher's Summary

Fall in love with Jed and Josie in this emotionally captivating, sexy standalone romance by New York Times best-selling author Melissa Foster. The perfect love story for those who enjoy fiercely loyal and insanely sexy alpha heroes, smart, sassy heroines, strong family bonds, bikers, babies, and more!

Can true love strike twice in one lifetime?

Josie Beckley refuses to believe there is a limit on happiness. A decade after she escaped her abusive parents and lost touch with her siblings, the death of her husband leaves her and her son homeless. But Josie has never been one to wallow in sadness, and when she takes a chance on reconnecting with her siblings, a sinfully handsome bright light from her past shows up and offers to help her find a way out of the darkness.

Most people wouldn't see Jed Moon as someone to look up to. He's been in and out of jail and has lived a less-than-stellar lifestyle. But years ago one woman saw through his bullshit, and he's never forgotten her. Now she's back in his life, and as a prospect for the Dark Knights motorcycle club, Jed promises to keep an eye on the sassy, sexy single mother who has never stopped lighting his fantasies on fire.

Jed and Josie's combustible connection is stronger than ever. Having Josie and her son in his life brings out all of Jed's protective instincts-and visions of a future he never imagined having. But when a shocking revelation knocks the insatiable lovers to their knees, it forces them to make choices that could change their lives forever.

Love the Whiskeys

I have read and enjoyed all the previous books in this series. Having said that, Mad About Moon can definitely be read as a stand alone although honestly if you have the time I would read them all. I think you will find this a highly addictive series to read, I know I did. This was an emotional story that captivated me from the first to the last chapter.

This is Jed Moon and Josie Beckley’s story and as I have come to expect from a Melissa Foster story, this was extremely well written and an absolute joy to read. A second chance could give both Jed and Josie a chance for the happiness that they both deserve.

Jed Moon is a total alpha male who ticked many of the boxes for me and Josie is perfect for him. I loved her feisty spirit and her unbridled passion for life, despite all the trauma and hardships the single mum has endured in her life.

The passion and love between Jed and Josie is intense and I loved the relationship that Jed develops with Hail, Josie’s son made for some beautiful and heart warming moments.

I love this series, the characters are so well developed and Melissa Foster’s writing so descriptive that I feel as though I am apart of the Whiskey family and Peaceful Harbour.

It is a story of love, hope and friendship, of family, not always related by blood and one which I highly recommend.

To the Moon & back: Jed and Josie find true love!

Moon and Josie wow!! I think the phrase “I love you to the Moon and back” can certainly fit for this romance. It really was a second chance romance. As this can be a stand alone book, I feel it is best if you start with Tru Blue and continue on. You will find the same names popping up in this stand alone series.

Both Moon (Jed) and Josie had their own demons to beat. Jed’s family fell apart when his dad lost his job, died and his mom was an alcoholic. He did everything in his power to help his family keep food on the table and survive in the trailer they called home. Josie came from an abusive childhood. Her bother, Scott and sister , Sarah escaped but she was left to deal with her parents. She ran away with Brian who made her finish high school and keep on track. Once she was old enough they had a loving relationship but Brian died young leaving Josie and their son Hail on their own.

Move forward, Sarah and her son to be husband Dr. Bones Whiskey volunteer at a homeless shelter. Who does Sarah see at the shelter, Josie and Hail. Sarah reached out to Josie but Josie at that time wasn’t ready. Jed being a prospect for the Dark Knights (a motorcycle club) volunteered to watch over Josie. Why? Well, Josie and Jed had a one night stand and Jed had never been able to forget Josie.

The book had a lot of twists, turns, tears and love. Josie gets a second chance at love again with Moon and some interesting events happen during the way with her son Hail. It was wonderful to see them reconnect. It was fantastic to see Josie reconnect with her brother and sister and find her HEA!!!

I loved the duel naration by Devra Woodward and Jacob Morgan. Both did a fantastic job!

Having read the book previously, listening to it read by someone else gave it a different spin on it. I enjoyed listening as much as I enjoyed reading. Once again, a great book by Melissa Foster!

Loved this book!

I love The Whiskey series and big, bad Jed Moon's book did not disappoint. Jed and Josie both had horrible childhoods. Jed's father was killed in an accident and his mother turned to drinking and left him to fend for himself and his sister, doing whatever he could for them to survive. Josie's parent were abusive, especially to her siblings, who she lost contact with years ago. Jed and Josie had met years before and had amazing chemistry, so when their paths crossed again years later they were surprised that the chemistry was still there. Jed and Josie were absolutely wonderful together, their story touched me and had me drying my eyes several times. I love this series and all of the characters in it, the Whiskey family has a way of drawing you in and making you want more.
The audible version is absolutely wonderful. Devra Woodward and Jacob Morgan do an excellent job in bringing Mad About Moon to life. You fall faster and harder for Jed and Josie in the audio version. They did a wonderful job with their narration

More Whiskey to Love

Audiobook Review… This is the first book I’ve listened to narrated by Devra Woodward and Jacob Morgan and they did amazing Jacob had the perfect young enough voice for Jed but still sexy, in command, and loving also. Devra Woodward did an amazing job with Josie’s character. She had the mom voice perfect but also let her fun, sexy, loving woman side shine through. These two narrators had me pulled into the book without letting me stop listening. I felt the characters that Melissa Foster wrote about come to life. The emotion, the angst, the love, and the respect was perfect.

Ebook review... Sigh, more Whiskey Men to love. This is Jed Moon’s story. Yep, he isn’t actually a Whiskey but Red and Bigg think of him as their own son so I will think of his as a Whiskey Man. Like a true Whiskey, he is strong, he is alpha, and he has the biggest heart ever. He had once met a girl and fell in love. When fate steps in and he meets this girl again he knows that he cannot let her go again.

Josie has a history that she is running from. She ran from her parents, lost her husband, and has been living in a shelter while trying to find a job, get a place to stay and keep her son safe. Jed enters her life, he brings feelings that she had kept hidden and hopes that she cannot believe would come true. I liked that Josie wasn’t the perfect person, she had struggles, she’d lived a rough life, and yet she was willing to try to live again.

In true Melissa Foster style, these two opened their hearts to each other but not easily. They pushed, they shoved, and they worked towards finding they're happy ever after. When they finally opened their lives and hearts they did it wholly. They held nothing back and gave everything they had to each other.

4.5 Second Chance Stars!

I love this Whiskey family saga, and it just gets better and better! I was so excited for Josie's story and Moon was a perfect pairing! Josie is Sarah and Scott's younger sister and they all came from an abusive home. Sarah and Scott escaped, with a promise to return for Josie, but she needed to flee before they came back. Now Josie is a sullen widow with a young son, feeling like everyone leaves her. Moon was a troubled teen who needed to take care of his sister and alcoholic mother anyway he could. Moon and Josie had a brief encounter years ago that neither could forget and sealed their hearts together. Moon has been saved by the Whiskey's, and given a new, promising lease on life. When he meets the woman of his dreams again, he is ready to help her find a new home and family with him and the extended Whiskey clan. But with a history like theirs, it is a long struggle that is so worth the fight. This is a fun, heartwarming, passionate story of forgiveness, trust, new beginnings, and love. Ms Foster continues to create a world that I want to live in and characters I want as friends. Narrators Devra Woodward, and Jacob Morgan did a great job bringing out the complex emotions that Moon and Josie struggled with. Their inflections were spot on and their intonations helped to make this romance even more captivating! I especially thought their children's voices were amazing! This family saga has really captured my heart, and I can't wait for more from the Whiskey's!

Shattered glass becomes a beautiful vase.

Shattered glass becomes a beautiful vase. Foster breaks the mold when it comes to dreaming up romance. Jed and Josie held my heart in their hands. From beginning to end my emotions were hard to control. Having read Mad About Moon, I knew what to expect, but the addition of Morgan and Woodward gave the heartache a life of it's own. Fires tend to burn deep and this one quickly became an inferno.

Love Moon and Josie

I was so happy to get more of the Whiskeys and Mad About Moon did not disappoint. Jed Moon and Josie Beckley have a history. Actually it's just a history of a few hours but it was a few hours neither will forget. When they reconnect years later Jed learns about the struggles Josie has faced since they last saw each other.

Jed is surprised to see Josie and to learn that she is the long lost sister of his friends Sara and Scott. Since he is a prospect for the Dark Knights Motorcycle club he offers to look out for her and her son. In doing so they grow closer and he helps her get the courage to re connect with her brother and sister.

Josie has been trying to make it on her own ever since her husband died suddenly. She finds herself without a job and living in a women's shelter with her son Hail. Jed shows up one day and she realizes that he is the boy she was with years ago whom she never forgot. He tells her that he wants to be there for her and Hail and help them out in anyway that he can.

This book is full of emotion. In previous Whiskey books you see how much they give back to the community and protect those in the family and in their inner circle. Jed is no exception to that. He shows what it means to be a Dark Knight and just a good man in general.

This book has both a female and male narrator and these two did not do it for me. Their voices didn't seem to match up with the characters. Character voices didn't seem to stay the same through out. With that being said I love the story and could not stop listening. I can't wait to see what is next for the Whiskey's.
