Maybe We Will

Sweet insta love swoony romance. Met Aiden before in his sister's book and he honestly didn't lived up to my expectations. I loved Abby's determination and independence but her reactions to certain situations seems overly dramatic and childish. Overall it was an ok read for me. Loved Aiden Snow narration, Jennifer Mack was ok, but her narration made Abby sound more like a child than an adult.

I loved this story. It was so good it was difficult to put the book down to do other things!

Maybe We Will is an emotional ride about healing from past heartache and moving forward and going after buried dreams. A story that will give you all the good feels and give you island fever by the end of the story.

Aiden is a workaholic who has been forced by his sister to take a much-needed vacation so she sends him to Silver Island and creates a "Let Loose List" for him to complete on his month-long vacation. While enjoying his morning coffee and newspaper, a beautiful woman comes running into his life, literally, and he is taken by her. When he finds out she is the part-owner of The Bistro and her dreams for the business, he tells her to turn down the investor who wants to purchase the business, which is him, and he makes it his mission to help her bring her dream to life. Island life has changed Aiden and the way he views things that are important.

Abby has returned to Silver Island with her sister to take care of their mother's estate to find out that they have a half-sister that they never knew about. Abby goes for a run to see The Bistro, their family's restaurant. When it comes into view she realizes that she wants to bring back the magic that it once was. When she comes around the corner of The Bistro she runs into a man enjoying his coffee and newspaper on the patio of the restaurant. She starts talking to him and opens up to him completely and helps him to enjoy his "Let Loose List".

There were many things that I enjoyed but there were also things that I struggled with. I experienced tears of heartbreak and tears of joy during the story. Aiden and Abby were adorable together. I loved their connection and the way they complimented each other. As an avid reader, I enjoyed the way past characters are connected into the story and new ones are introduced that we are sure to get to know better in the future. I struggled with the length of the story. I felt that it was a little too long and that it seemed to drag along at points. There were a lot of extras that probably could have been omitted and we still would have got the full story. The other struggle was a personal trigger for me.

Audio: Aiden was great as usual and did a great job with bringing Aiden and his part of the story to life. In the first book I listened to by Jennifer, I was not sold to her but she changed my view as Abby.

I don’t write reviews often. I loved this story! I laughed, I cried, I rolled my eyes a few times, too. This is a new author for me and I can’t wait for more!!

this was a refreshing look at first love for a man that work hard and never had a chance to faĺl in love its so sweet!! how he falls in for her (story about 3 sister ) 2 sisters go to an ILand cause theor mother dies thats when they find out they have another sister they also have house & Business to sell so they think one of the sister falls in love an the adventure begins !!!

Silver Medal

This is my first read from this author. Interesting, believable characters. I'll definitely be picking up the next two books in the series.

My rating range throughout the story... 3.5 - 4.5 Stars

Scenes with heat..Several - Heat level is 6/10

The back story... The H returns to her hometown after mom's death and learns much more about her family than she expected to. She meets and eventually falls in love with the H.

The Romance... Slow burn and well built. The only drawback was her sister who is completely negative and actively interferes.

The drama explosion... The H learns something about the H along with the fact that that he wants to help her make her business venture successful and blows it completely out of proportion! Should he have told her that he was an initial interested party in the property? Yes. Did he bow out graciously when he found out what and why she wanted it... Yes. He is an extremely successful business person who was falling in love with her so he tried to help and she blew up on him for it which makes no sense to me.

Final Notes... I hate when a MC blows up at someone who just wants to help an H or an h with their goal. Instead of discussing it with them, they blow up and chase the other off. Ugh.

Melissa is a very talented author and I do love her stories. This one is a few hours longer than it needed to be but I stayed interested throughout.
