Publisher's Summary

A secret baby brings a second chance for love.

Carlene Varner's homecoming isn't exactly going according to plan. She thought she'd have some time to adjust before introducing her daughter to Jace Dawson, the father her little girl has never known. Instead, within days of her arrival, her house burns down, and she and Tilly have no choice but to move in with the sexy cowboy himself at the Prairie Rose ranch. Now the whole Dawson clan - heck, the whole town of Happy - is all up in their business.

Jace has dealt with stubborn bulls and bucking broncos - but being a dad? He is so not ready for this.... Yet the more time he spends with Carlene and little Tilly, the harder it is to imagine life without them. Now he just has to convince Carlene that he's the real deal - and hope that this time she's here to stay.

very enjoyable

very enjoyable with likeable characters. I like how the author references various songs throughout. I listen while driving and it makes my commute go by fast. I enjoyed the narrator, only thing I would suggest would be I think it would be great to also have a male narrator for the male characters. definitely give this series a try! I was sorry to finish this last one.

Not impressed with this book.

Couldn't fall in love with Carlene. She was selfish. I was surprised at Jace and the family's reactions or lack there jf in this book. Felt this book was unengaging.

All of the other books in this series were incredible.

No valid reason

The heroine of this book has given zero valid reasons for her actions other than selfishness. Anything short of abuse is invalid cause to deprive any father of time with his child. 30 min in, and our crappy heroine could’t earn forgiveness in any world.
