The book was fantastic bit the voice actor used a monotone voice for Kade which I didn't like. She made him sound almost like a robot.

Yeehaw!
I’ll admit I am biased-I have really enjoyed all of Carolyn Brown’s books, re-reading them several times. This one, and the the Longhorn Canyon series is one of my favorites.
Chelsea Hatfield brings the characters to life without being annoying. I highly recommend.
I disagree with the reviewers that feel the book is R rated. Yes, Cade and Retta get a little less than PG a couple of times, but no where near R rating.

Loved that the book covered the red river rivalry and I could enjoy the storyline. The thing that threw me off as a native Oklahoman was then the narrator said pecan (pee-can) because where I am from we say pecan (pe-con).

Not worth the time
This was a poorly written book and just as poorly performed. Even the quality or the recording was bad. I would recommend skipping this and spending your time on something more enjoyable and better written.
