Great story… but the I just do not like narrative performance. It’s so shaky and “sing-songish.”

I really like the story. Kristin Higgins writes a great story, The narration is a turn off. She reads in a sing-song voice and it’s hard to understand; it’s frustrating. I get that this character is “emotional” (kind of too much - I don’t think it would feel that way if the narrator would just read it)… but the whole shaky-crying voice is annoying.

Great book, but not for everyone

I loved so much about this book and how the story was told by 3 different character’s perspective. But it may be too descriptive and have too much raw emotion for those who have experienced losing someone to cancer, even with the beautiful way the story ended.

What a great book.

I love a book that makes me laugh and cry and this book did both. I haven’t enjoyed listening to a story this much in a long time. Great job to the author!!!! Audible take me away. LOL!

Tears and laughter

Another KH that I loved. She had me guessing, crying, biting my nails and laughing.

I was not prepared for this book!

I went into this blind and was not at all prepared for this book. My god, the tears and I do mean the ugly cry kind of tears. Without revealing any spoilers, IMO this book was stunningly beautiful, even through tears and very heavy cancer related themes. Highly recommend when you have time for a cry, away from people that will ask you if you are ok.

Excellent

Another excellent story by the amazing Kristan Higgins. Loved the narrators too. I find Xe Sands’ voice to be like a warm hug - especially fitting for the character she narrated in this story. Thank you Ms. Higgins for another wonderful read. I hope another book follows - I want to see Joy find happiness and the forever after she so richly deserves. Same with Lorenzo.

Amazing

I truly enjoyed this book, I did not want it to end. Looking forward to more books surrounding this family.

the narration was not what I am use to. it was hard to listen to in places, like nails on a chalkboard
